Some crazy stuff about soundwaves

She told me that sounds are the primary way we communicate with each other and humans have used sound/chanting/music to aid in ritual from the dawn of man. She said that’s how “they” reconfigure our brain waves - through music.
Ever since I learned that I can’t stop thinking about it! aahhhh!

I just have to comment because that's what I do. But honestly, i think that music, water and numbers all combined could solve the "what's the secret of the universe" question. But I just took Extra Strength Excedrin, so take that with a grain of salt. Oh! And SALT!!! IT'S IN THE OCEAN AND IN OUR TEARS! It heals and protects. Think about that one too. Ok, chew on that for awhile!

The way conspiracists use the phrase "brain waves" is a pretty egregious misrepresentation of the way the brain works. Brain waves are the electrical activity being passed between cells in the brain, and they're referred to as waves because they can be visualized as such, not because the mind actually exists as a wave-like energy. This electrical activity is responsible for literally everything that your brain does. "Reprogramming" it will not alter your thoughts or behavior, it will kill you. Also, sound is not definitively our primary mode of communication. Visual cues are equally if not more important. There is solid evidence that sound interferes with a number of cellular functions, and even behavior and perception as observed in the infrasound phenomenon. Specific frequencies can stimulate the brain in a way that induces a sensation, but thoughts and beliefs are so complex that it would be impossible to directly manipulate them with physical stimulus. I think the closest you could get would be either subliminal messaging, or using something like infrasound to destabilize people, then psychologically manipulating them from there. The music industry doesn't even need to interfere with our brain function to manipulate us. The psychological aspect of it is more than enough. Why would Hollywood bother with all this high-tech/mystical stuff when all they have to do is curate an image?
