I have three older sisters all three went off to University on Scholarships: The oldest a National Merit Scholar at Duke University, The next a phi-beta-kappa chemistry major at University of NC Greensboro (women's college at that time) . The next her doctorate in History and a tenured professor until she retired a couple of years ago. If I heard it once I heard it 100 times from my HS teachers; "Zach why aren't you as smart as your sisters?" So for me it was enlisting in the UNITED STATES NAVY less than ONE MONTH after graduation. The local paper was publishing what each HS senior's plans were and I had folks coming up to me on the street saying, "Zach I did not know you were accepted into the US Naval Academy!"
