At least the cow is the only recognizable part of the gore. Maybe there were more bumps on the way to the shop.

I'm seeing a major intestine on one shoulder, and a hoof on the other, and I'm trying desperately to envision the turn (pun intended) of events that had to have transpired.

How do you know that the robot killed a cow " accidentally"? It's possible that the robot's *job* is killing cows, and being covered in blood and guts is a daily occurrence. She just bumped into a cow in a weird way while working, and dislocated a finger. Hence how casual she is about needing to be hosed off.
2018-12-17 17:46:32 +0000 UTC
I feel bad for the cow.
Hitting a dear usually damages a car badly. Cows are bigger than deer. Robots are smaller than cars. What is this robot made of anyway?
Why does this robot have so little affect about killing an animal accidentally?
2018-12-17 16:09:22 +0000 UTC
I kind of thought she wasn't looking where she was running.

For the old Jeph, I would have taken the gag as-written. But for the new Jeph, I would suspect there's some thought going on in the background about dangerous robots, cattle slaughter (cows aren't cheap!), an angry farmer, and Roko's former associates like O'Malley lurking around.

In the same way that we could be merely surprised at the sight of wires and metal parts, but faint when facing a bloody hand.

I notice that Roko reacted to the disembodied robot arm, was surprised but otherwise unaffected by the cow gore, then fainted at the dislocated finger.

Indeed. Questionable, even, one might say.
My headcanon is that the cow was already being butchered, or was at least already deceased, and you cannot convince me otherwise.

Well, that leg so elegantly draped over her shoulder does look more like a horse hoof than a cow hoof (cow hooves are split in two roughly equal size parts). Though it might just be the angle.
