I have one in my basement that I got when we closed down one of the stores I worked at. Once all the inventory had been transferred out, it was kind of a free-for-all. The property had been sold, so everything was being either given away to employees, or shipped off to other locations. I came away with the file cabinet (which is indeed large and grey), a two-wheeled dolly to move it with, and a vast array of electrical wiring, along with a couple of large steel racks from the warehouse. One of the other guys got the countertops that had been the sales desk, and the wooden file cabinets from underneath it.

I got mine from the alley, no cursed sign on it, or sign of being cursed so far. Super bonus, the previous owner had put casters on the grey metal thing, so I was (with effort due to alley paving variances) able to roll it the half block it needed to travel from its former home.

That depends on whether or not you have a pickup truck or a van at your disposal, along with the able-bodied and naive-brained bodies to install it. If you don't have both of those, yes, they just APPEAR. If you do, then it's a different story, and it's the countless wall dings that just APPEAR, sometime around the same time as they manhandle the thing into position, and become sufficiently less naive that you'll need to find other bodies to move it if you need to move it later. (I swear, the wall dings did not happen because I banged the cabinets into the wall, I was *careful*! But somehow the wall was just dinged anyway.)

I'm not sure that I am enthusiastic about the drip partnership with a company that doesn't understand the distinction between a festival and its organizers, and a company web page and a modern art piece. I do like the Drip fee structure, but I'm not sure what to make of having my creator payments processed on the day of the month I signed up rather than at the beginning of the month.

The moment the platform decides that it can arbitrarily ban somebody, it can arbitrarily ban anybody. Que in moral outrage how May is, I dunno, transphobic, or communist, or whatever, and Jeph gets booted from the platform. Such actions are never politics dependent. The definition of "gigantic piece of shit" for any company is "somebody who gives us bad PR" and nothing else. I don't even know the person who got banned, and frankly don't care, as it doesn't matter. Now, if Jeph doesn't think he needs to bother, that's understandable. The chance may exist, but it's quite low, as Jeph isn't exactly a high-profile public figure, and is not connected to controversies.
