BRG: And she does know what wieners smell like now (<a href="https://www.questionablecontent.net/view.php?comic=2774)" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://www.questionablecontent.net/view.php?comic=2774)</a>

Patrick Mac Manus

Nah, he's just running a porn server

Bagge

I imagine you have only scratched the surface of what robot jail is like. And without having one's mind transferred into an AI, and then actually experiencing robot jail for oneself, no human can fully comprehend just how bad it truly is. When Momo threatened to have May's drive sent to the incinerators, that may have actually been an act of mercy, except no one <i>wants</i> to die. Plus May actually had a good chance of getting out soon. If someone were sentenced to eternal robot jail, the incinerators would be a step up.

awgiedawgie

Picture Pintsize secretly running Folding@Home, praying to whatever deity he has in there that no-one finds out.

I expect pintsize would expect a cut. Or perhaps is mining bitcoin themselves.

Am Queue

somebody's using Pintsize to mine BITCOIN, aren't they?!

Peter McDevitt

Let’s say you have something that you need to do that’s going to be very processor intensive. You can run it on your computer(s) but that’s going to take a long time, you can buy more computers but what do you do with the hardware after you’re done with your project is finished, or you can fire up some virtual machines on a cloud platform and rent some processing power from them. Apparently, AICloud is a competitor for AWS/Azure/Google Compute/etc in the QCverse.

Nikki

What do they mean rent out processor time?

Also, depending on how many resources the AI feel like throwing at the incarcerated minds, who knows how long she experienced being in robot jail for? It could have been subjective centuries, for all we know.

Peter Jensen

On another topic, Claire glowing back in 3822 sent me back on a partial archive crawl to find the (guest) strip (which someone else found for me first) where she is likened to a Disney princess, and the only problem with that is that I've run out of QC strips to read (apart of course from the usual 5 a week) again!

Mark

Oh damn, denied!

JPMK! {verb}

So, what do you think? Will Momo go chasing after May to apologise or slip around to Sven's townhouse to shyly ask him if the videos are true?

Ben Russell-Gough

This is the quality May content I am proud to support.

Gary Walker

You might be right, and in the last panel Momo is looking more...'mature'. Compared to the previous strip, anyway. If pet owners start to look like their pets, do companion AI's start to look like their companions? Is there a pink-haired Marigold in the future? Or Momo with glasses? Winslow and Hanners are not entirely dissimilar. But what about Pintsize, you ask? Clearly an anomaly, and that's how he likes it.

Douglas E. Smith

Worst anime ever? Could it be a reference to the legendary Ass Swordsman Tetsuo? :O

Thomas Boys

Well, she's getting a lot more exercise than previously (snu-snu with Dale)!

Ben Russell-Gough

Does Marigold look thinner than she used to?

Dean Reilly

Pintsize probably hosts a VPPN for anyone who doesn’t want to store their stash on their own Anthro PC.

Andrew

Whatever it was like, it was traumatic enough an experience for May that she doesn't even really like THINKING about it.

Ben Russell-Gough

I've read of RL jobs like that. You just need an internet connection and you can do things like interpret images (looking for anomalies and the like) or proof-read texts. The pay isn't brilliant but the time, and cash, stacks up pretty fast.

Ben Russell-Gough

Imagine being a disembodied mind kept in isolation from all other minds and, likely, having a virtual therapist on your case 24/7. That, or so I strongly suspect, is Robot Jail. So, now we're going onto a May character growth arc?

Ben Russell-Gough

So.... when Pintsize fucks around the apartment all day, that IS him working

Bagge

Daaaang!

Robert

I only just now realized her frickin' shirt.

Unanimous D

Marigold considers Magical Love Gentleman bad because she's seen every episode of Crab Girlfriend and she's not an IDIOT

Cody Renton

So what is <a href="https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/the-mike-toole-show/2015-07-26/.90903" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">the worst anime of all time</a>? Follow the link at the end of the article to see what other anime fans considered to be the worst of the worst.

awgiedawgie

Nice brushoff

Bagge

There's a particularly awful recent kids anime that looks like a druken person accidentally uploaded some Blender files to the internet. I forget what it's called, but it was in a WatchMojo list of worst anime fight scenes.

Lucanid Landman

Some things are best left unexplored. Or at least left between a robot and her current counsellor.

Denise Webber

Marigold’s hair is adorable.

Mandy Hoskins

Finally the source of Pintsize's spending money is revealed! He's part of a crowd sourced super-cluster!

Ted Van Roekel

Well dang.

R L

It involved Dale early on in their relationship. No matter how bad, it will always have some happiness associated with it.

Ted Van Roekel

So that butt swordsman anime she saw that one time with Dale?

Colin

This is one subject I do NOT want to push May on. Because it wouldn't be fun to have her twist my head around so I'd have to walk backwards all the time.

Daaang

Alex Thompson

The first rule of robot jail, is that you don't talk about robot jail!

Shawn K. Younkin

Love the faces in this one. Some good expressions right there.
