(Technically, in the order they appear in the panel, that would be the <i>second</i> joke, the first being Marten's question about the application itself, and the third being Tai's "Dewey Decimal System? Do we ever!" comment.)

Yes, Jeph has found out that he forgot a pretty important plot point when he started writing this arc. So, he's sort of trying to patch that problem and, in the process, probably made one of the funniest jokes he's managed in months!

But I remember clearly how I got hired for my last two jobs, and that takes me back nearly 20 years. Not to mention that how Marten got the job at the library was a bit unorthodox, and thus even more memorable.
