It's indicative of what's happened to the mindset of men who grew up as feminists, but then were told we weren't feminist enough, making us doubt ourselves and overly cautious. This is the age where every mistake can easily be made public in a fit of anger or upset.

Seeing this come up as today's comic out there makes me even more irritated at non-canon Dale. Dude, you are attempting to take away Marigold's agency, which is way worse than her dressing *willingly* in some costume.

Ha! Yeah, sounds about right. The human mind has a wonderful capacity for pernicious recursion. It works that way in the other direction, too. Whenever I have achieved any kind of enlightenment, any sort of personal growth, then I have to battle my ego all over again, because, well... doesn't that make me *better* than those who haven't grown likewise? Hmmmm. I've been 100% open with my wife about my sexual desires, and it's worked out for us. There are a bunch of things that I want that I won't get because nobody ever gets 100% of what they want. But we're both giving and respectful, and there's negotiation and compromise, and there's nothing that I hide from her. I... look, it's not my intention to brag, but... there's room for me to be grateful for the relationship I have with my wife, and recognize that it's unusual, without coming across as bragging, yes? Problem is, in this kind of situation Dale can't really be sure that she WON'T secretly hate it. No offense, but when people say "I want you to be honest with me," they don't always mean it, even if they think they do. That's just how people are. Let's be honest--we've all met somebody who says "You can tell me anything," but the people who say that have very rarely thought through how incredibly much territory the word "anything" covers.

I kind of feel thats the easy way out though. Spend some time thinking about what would your SO would look good cosplaying and have the courage to suggest it. I guarantee that not only will the two of you have fun making it work but the mental image of seeing them in a sexy cosplay will remain burned into your mind for a long time to come. It's certainly a lot nicer than other mental images that *could* be burned into your head, such as Pintsize covered in baby oil and wearing a giant pink strap-on.
