Only 2 of the 3. Tai and Marten haven’t dated or hooked up. Closest I can think of is when Tai dragged Marten to a party where he hooked up with the hostess.

Geeze... Are shippers often like this? They're sounding like some sport-fans I've known who will say something similar pregame. It's not all that suprising when thinks about it, though. Fandom is fandom wether you're root, root, rooting for the home team or hanging on that "Will they/Wont they question. :)

Tai and Claire have issues with personal boundaries. However, I am very sure that Marten and Dora's only motives are concern for the emotional safety of two friends whom they know to be damaged and emotionally fragile.

I just figured out why I'm left so cold by this strip. It's cognitive dissonance. In real life I'd never be a part of this conversation because I'm a private person, and it's important to me to respect other people's privacy. I find the thought of people talking behind my back about what I'm doing with my genitals to be repugnant. So in one sense, I'm not *any* of the characters pictured here. I'm Bubbles. But this is fiction, which affords us a third-person omniscient point of view. So I treat this differently than I would in real life. I want to know the salacious details insofar as I'm rooting for them to have good sex and please each other and be happy. So in that sense, I'm Claire. It's interesting to examine those conflicting points of view in light of the fictional situation of two people embarking on a transhuman relationship. Since human-droid pairings are so new, does it give the chorus a bit of a pass on not respecting their privacy? After all, who wouldn't root for a friend doing something with so little precedent? I curious about how Faye and Bubbles will react to the "so did you fuck or what?" comments, as Dylan said above. For her own sake, Faye has been all about that level of crude curiosity in the past, so knows she's got it coming. But she'll be protective of Bubbles, knowing that, like me, she's a private person. I look forward to seeing how Jeph handles this. Jeph, thanks for creating such a lush ecosystem for us to explore!

I had the same thought about their business venture. Here's my prediction: Bubble and Faye will break up, or one of them will have to leave the business. They can't have both. Not right away, of course. I could see them taking a long time to come to a crisis point with their personal/business relationship--maybe years in reader time.

Only we are Tai and Claire peering through the keyhole instead of retiring discreetly to a coffee shop. It's funny. If I were reading this on my own, I would be identifying with the fictitious omniscient observer, and would feel no shame. But because we all chatter busily about everything that happens, I feel part of a crowd of rubberneckers, and ashamed. Not enough to stop watching, or even enough to stop chattering, but enough to make the experience complex in odd ways.

This is fair. Also Tai and Claire don't open their eyes once during this whole strip.
