Of course it won't be smooth sailing. If it were smooth sailing, the arc would be boring and end. There are always issues, even in happy relationships, that will make the story fun to read. I think Faybles will stand the test of time, provided they get to the point where they admit their feelings TO ONE ANOTHER.

Which was right after the bad breakup with Angus and was so long ago that Bubbles didn't *exist* in the comic yet. I don't hope for things to go poorly, but things have been rather saccharine lately.

1) for some reason, I don't know why, but I think it's very right that Faye was taking Bubbles by the arm and not the other way around, especially because it looks more like a "may I lead you on a walkabout m'lady?" Kind of thing. 2) I just want to take a moment to point out that we are all sane people who recognize these characters are fictional. But we love, root for, are angry and upset with, and cheer, and facepalm at them as if they are real. And that's a testement to how well Jeph has written them, and how believable they are to us.

Dora just said basically the same thing I've been saying for the past month. All the shippers have been saying what they <i>want</i> to see happen, and that's fine for them. I've watched enough ships go down with all hands, so I try to maintain a realistic, cautious approach. If the ship sails, I'll be more than happy for them. But by not having any expectations, I'm not setting myself up for disappointment. And I'm not giving myself any new grey hairs waiting to see what happens.
