Tilly On Station
Added 2018-01-01 08:10:13 +0000 UTC
I could've SWORN I fixed the strip number/copyright stuff before I left for France but apparently not???
If she did, It's entirely something I would expect from an Evil Overlord.

Well I guess now Tilly can be a useful spy for their dad.

Also, the crater. I only noticed it the second time, but there's something inherently satisfying about things arriving in craters.

Hannelore being all shady in the third panel, I love it.

We don't really know Tilly's preferences, but they are definitely not Potter's type. Marigold's fling would be more likely, but again that all depends on Tilly.

Presumably Hanners apartment is wired for projection...

Sure, but in the third panel she doesn't use pronouns. She say "It's true" in reference to a statement.
Obviously Tily's statement that they can be utterly relentless - but it would ALSO be applicable if she said "It's true" as an answer to Station's statement about Hanelore's fathers stubborn attitude.
I think it would be fun if she encompassed BOTH those statments in her "it's true".

That's like some 4D chess-playing if so =o

Tilly’s pronouns are they/their/them

Another thought occurs to me -- maybe this was the plan that Hanner's Mom had all along? I mean, you can't get much higher in the Ellicot-Chatham business than on the Space Station, right? Did she meta-manipulate Hanners and Tilly into the position she really wanted?

Wait -- has Station needed a projector drone for previous appearances planetside? I thought he could project directly from orbit?

At one point, when introducing herself to Marten, Tilly said she uses they/them pronouns. Hanners is being scrupulous in how she addresses Tilly now.

Like the panel 3 side-eye there.

I'm pretty sure Hanelore addresses both Station and Tily in the third panel.

HannerMom would FREAK OUT if she knew her "gift" to Hanners was being re-gifted as something genuinely useful to HannerDad.
I think we may be witnessing the budding of a benevolently Machiavellian Hanners.

I can confirm that barfing yourself inside-out is the least amount of fun you can have.

I would also assume that station and Dr Ellicott have a better relationship than Hanners and her mom. I think we can trust station to not be out of bounds if they're going to hire someone.

Station already imposes assistants on Dr. Ellicott, Tilly is just more resistant to tea.

With the side effect of cutting ties with Hanners? =(

Could this have been Hannelmom's plan from the start?

I have missed the station and Hannelore's dad. Oh, and will H be going with Tilly to the research station to introduce / propose Tilly to her dad? Otherwise, it seems like her imposing a PA on dad is as bad or worse than her mom doing the same to her. He may be absentminded, but a new staff member suddenly hovering around rearranging his life seems a bit gas-lighty.

So do we ship Tilly and Lieutenant Potter, or Marigold's flingboy? Edit: <a href="http://www.questionablecontent.net/view.php?comic=2138" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">Francis York</a>

Low earth orbit is a nice compromise ;) While up there Tilly can look for Melon’s butt.

Theyre also pretty handy with a sword, in case of alien invasion.

Maybe Hannelore keeps the drone in a closet, and just switches it on when she wants to talk to Station.

Man, I just realized...
How many of us, myself included, were inclined to launch Tilly into deep space at the start of the arc?
Be honest, now...

This is the job she was born for. :)
So that's a happy ending.
NOW we just need to ship somebody for Pintsize and we can call it a great start to the new year.

I love the powerful look Hanners is sporting the last few strips. She's a far cry from the timid girl we met several years ago.

Is that holo-drone a one use item? Feels slightly wasteful. Then again, so are the pizza delivery drop pods.
