The way they bared their souls to each other, and now to ask Faye to remove that last barrier between herself and the world... well, it takes a great deal of trust between you to do that. Bubbles, I am so glad that you fought through that pain, that you found Faye, and that you are healing.

The look on her Face in the last panel is a perfect reflection of that. Whatever happens between Faye and Bubbles (for all my shipping of Faybles I'm honestly good either way), I'm glad they have each other.

2017-05-01 03:59:03 +0000 UTCI'm not at all opposed to any potential Faybles prospects, but to me this is going somewhere else. In a way her armor resembles all those mental barriers she's put up because she feels vulnerable without them and doesn't want to show any weaknesses. This is a sign that she trusts Faye and doesn't feel like that around her, probably for the first time in a while. That's tremendous progress, and I think Faye is sensitive enough to recognize that and be the person Bubbles needs her to be.

I love the idea of them sharing a strong, deep friendship and I really hope it doesn't become more because I just don't see Faye changing so fundamentally as a person as to become involved in a relationship like this. I adore them both but yeah, I don't see any romantic chemistry.
