It takes pretty much zero energy (by the Eldrith AI's standards), It does some good in the world, and, well, it simply doesn't gain anything from leaving Bubbles alone to fend for herself.

She was a hologram in a pair of glasses, which is how she was proving that she had reformed. I'm sure whatever comes next will be great (Jeph proves that time and time again) but this arc set the bar pretty damn high. I mean, no pressure or anything, Jeph. ;)
