Spookybot is nothing if not thorough
Just as well Emily isn't looking for a relationship right now then?

I only just noticed in panel 1 that spooky-bot suggests 'one or two limbs' and Jeremy replies, "I will add three limbs". Nice. Subtle. Many hidden depths in Jeremy. I hope we get to see more of him!

I sincerely hope this isn't the last we've seen of the 'bot in black. That entity was positively delightful! * And Bartholomew Punchbot, CPA? That was as awesome as it was adorable. I'd say maximum satisfaction was achieved here. ❤️❤️❤️

Pretty sure Bubbles could take most anything short of Station in a fight.

Such a long, detailed setup for the Punchbot: CPA punchline, and so dang worth it :D

I think Emily is just comfortable with everyone, always.

By the way, if anyone cares to speculate that the spookybot entity is both NOT honest enough to 'never lie,' AND smart enough to manipulate human expectations, read up on Libratus, the latest AI that's learned how to outbluff the best humans (thought it's a bit scary): https://www.wired.com/2017/02/libratus/

It's been bugging me trying to figure out who spookybot reminds me of. I finally got it. Stillson, from Frank Herbert's The Godmakers (highly recommended). QC is a fun cartoon set in a coffee shop, but when it goes into interesting scif-fi story arcs, it becomes positively cinematic. I literally start seeing it as a movie in my head. Well done, sir!

I think more likely NES - SNES controllers weren't square, although the shape of the controller could be concealed by her hands I guess.. That said, seeing Emily playing (and winning) at a game normally played with a full VR Rig and feedback gloves via a (S)NES controller would be very Emily indeed...

Question: with CW out of the way, and the fighting arena now becoming more legitimate, would Faye and Bubbles want to return to their previous duties? I mean, Faye left because CW was an absolute (to use robo-swearing) QWERTY, threatening May simply by placement, which then got Faye fired for that fully-justifiable punch in the face. And Bubbles... Bubbles was deceived, and placed into, for all intents and purposes, servitude and virtual imprisonment. But she has friends there. Jeremy, Punchbot and all the others did not show even the slightest duplicity in their attitude towards either Bubbles or Faye. And I think, with both their skills and intimate knowledge of the fighting AI there, they would be most welcome indeed...

Waiting for spookybot to be the larger evil here. They're doing a lot of good, but there must be an endgame. Although, I do like the idea of them playing the field, not particularly interested in being "good" or "bad". Sort of like Izaya from DRRR.

As I recall, they did. Also stuff about philosophical zombie AI. Not sure if The Suit is an aspect of that, though, as they seem a bit too self-aware.

Right, they normally don't but these trivial matters are a result of their being involved in something they felt was important (one AI exploiting and subjugating another AI). Best to tie up any loose ends and be done with it.

This is just too pat. In 3392, iSatan said they don't normally involve themselves in such trivial matters. Well these are a bunch of trivial matters the less puissant humans and AIs could do for themselves. For me, the story is better with the fumbling mortals doing what they do and they returning to their perch.
