This video, whilst short, tests a lot of things- Ive never done a sock or odor video, so I tried to see what that could potentially look like using dust footage, warping air and a cloth simulation.
Also, the sock on the girls left foot is fully flexible, if she moves her foot the sock conforms around it. Pretty awesome.

Nice toss it's not the impact of the sock hurts the most it's the smell.

Like you say, the details really do make the difference, plus I think since you don't tend to do this kind of stuff usually, you can bring a unique perspective to a video like this that a lot of animators who might only do sweat/scent GTS stuff aren't able to tap into - probably one of the many things that makes it so incredible

The cloth simulation looks stellar and the heated/warping air looks absolutely incredible too - really makes the sock look like it must reek for the poor guy. Would love to see you do more sweat/odor stuff in the future, but either way, amazing work!
