Minia Monthly - June 2023 🌊

Hi everyone, welcome back to another monthly update! Let’s get started.

General 📋

I will be gone on my big yearly vacation from July 5th until July 22nd. There will not be any content during this time.

I have retired patron credits in videos. There are so many of you now which I am grateful for but it’s extremely difficult to maintain and it appears to be not a major importance to many of you. (according to feedback form)

I noticed that many of you care about being able to vote on videos so I am working on doing more votes for VFX videos which are much easier to finish, currently animations are a major time sink and I cannot promise delivery.

Part of this system may be that I allow users to submit their VFX video ideas and then I randomize one of them to get done. It’s effectively a randomized commission wheel! It also treats all kinks equally.

The Race: Part II (@SalomeToes) The runner has successfully cheated his way to victory causing his opponent to get crushed to death by Salome. Unfortunately that was only the semi-final, his next opponent will be Salome herself.

Behind the Scenes 🖥️

I am preparing some new improvements to the quality of videos with the help of some fellow creators.

I will be testing out some new camera work from within Blender using some awesome plugins, this should help with cinematics.

In addition I will be improving macro-details for close up shots of tinies by using procedural materials, this will help avoid pixelation of materials when they are scaled!
