The challenge in this situation is the completely unexpected behaviour she's getting from Bubbles. Most of her other friends would either be knocking it out of her hand or yelling at her and leaving. The sitting and staring is unnerving her because it wasn't something she accounted for.

Speaking as an alcoholic (24 years sober, but still an alcoholic) this just doesn't ring true. The time to pace and sweat and struggle comes before the bottle is in hand. At that point, it's going to be drunk. Period.
