It's been about a week since the previous update and fortunately everything has gone quite well. Happy to see the reception was quite positive, and it was actually quite fun to write Marion, who I had not written for in a while up till this release.
As for what is coming up next, it's a bit of a balancing act for me at the moment. The good news is that the writing has been going very well recently, and this has allowed me to build up a pretty solid runway in terms of story that is mostly just waiting for art. That's great news in terms of managing a steady output for updates this year, and I feel like it puts me on strong grounds to hit my target for this year (to get all the main stories to about 2/3rd of their complete arcs).
One of the more exciting things I can report is that one of the future updates that I have been writing for a lot, is the Princess-storyline, picking up after Sarah wins the civil war. This update has been growing quite large, and I think it will be pretty demanding in terms of art, but I think it is shaping up to a pretty exciting update to a storyline that hasn't had one in a while.
There will be some other updates before I get around to that one, but I just wanted to report some very good progress writing-wise on that front, because I also know a lot of people like that storyline as well.
Included above is most of the sketch work from the most recent update, which I think is always fun to see, just to get those impressions from how the art develops from its most initial form to the finalized pieces that make it into the game.
Hopefully, starting next week, I can also begin to share some previews for the next update as well, and let you in on what that one is going to be about.
