Episode Two Release Woes: Progress Report V2

I'm back for transparency's sake to give you the latest update on how things are going. Were it not for my day job and its unconventional hours that kinda eat up the day, I'd definitely have been done by now. But, that being said, I've reached a point where I can pretty confidently say the update will be out tonight (Tuesday) or Wednesday at the latest. I can give you the exact rundown on where I'm at: I'm in the home stretch when it comes to translating the script to Ren'Py, and I'll almost certainly be finished with it within the next 24 hours. After that's over with, it's just a matter of setting up the Encyclopaedia entries and the gallery; whether the game is out on Tuesday night or Wednesday night is dependent upon how time consuming that ends up being. Wednesday is probably the most likely outcome, given how every other time I've come up with an estimate it's been wildly off. 😂
My thanks again for your amazing patience! I hope the update will be worth the wait!

It's a valid question and the answer is mostly just inexperience with doing this. Next time I'll be 99% done before a release date comes out. I suppose I didn't want the update to be unreleased any longer than the moment it was finished, and it ended up backfiring on me.

2025-10-21 22:49:50 +0000 UTCGood games usually have their hiccups especially early on, so were all good waiting, on the other hand I do have to ask why dont you (or other devs for that matter) complete the update before giving a release date? status updates are all well and good but id personally have it be done and have it checked for bugs or whatnot for an extra week or whtvr while you release the game tier by tier yk lol Thats just a thought though, theres a lot of reasons for a lot of different games so thats just dependent case by case I suppose
