Back into Vehicle Art, would you be surprised if I told you it took longer to try and draw her than it did the jet?
I'm not really going for realism, nor am I doing anything special with these. Just for a cyberpunk setting jets are a neat topic. Mechs and Tanks tend to take the spotlight but fighter jets are always fun to come around to. I go for a design that's similar to early cold war jets. Round but still give it a bit of that crisp edge you see on some modern versions.
The thing that really sets it apart though is the wings. Giving them an odd shape kind of lends to a more alien look that fits within a futuristic setting. There's no reason to justify it or make it work in my opinion. Only if it looks cool or unique. But remember there are limits to that too, make a fair balance otherwise you end up with art-station slop designs.

I tend to see people who write about these things or draw them even get hung up in making them work in perfect logic. I'd suggest to stray away from that. There's no reason to lock yourself into that corner when it comes to fiction unless you're trying to appeal to the three engineers that might read your story. Just make something that looks cool and go with it. Focus on building the roof, not choosing the hammer.
