Aslan's DLC Route Update + Exclusive Patron Demo Reveal

Hello, everyone!

For November’s Update, we are circling back to talk about updates pertaining to Aslan’s Route DLC for “Love Spell: Written In The Stars”.

Work has been progressing on Aslan (slowly, but smoothly) for the vast majority of the year. And at this point in time, major thresholds of development are complete!

The finalized game script, all art assets, and music assets have been finished. Programming is also well underway as Aslan’s DLC release inches closer and closer!

Unfortunately, we are going to have to delay the original estimated December 2021 release date to early Q1 of 2022 as right now, we are working simultaneously on Peachleaf Valley and various other projects. (We will announce the official release date come early 2022.)

However, we want to stress that this delay will provide us just the extra amount of time we need to allocate even more vigorous QA testing on the DLC route for the best possible experience on release. The Aslan DLC is also expected to release simultaneously with the anticipated MAC and Linux ports, as well as a big quality of life update for Love Spell itself. More information on this update will come at a later time! But rest assured, we’re working hard and our magical wizard is only a stone’s throw away!

Adding to the excitement, we will also be releasing a Patron-Exclusive Demo for Aslan’s DLC Route!

In January’s Patron update, our patrons will be able to play an exclusive demo featuring an extended glimpse into Aslan’s Story.

As each route in Love Spell was written with a different literary genre in mind, Aslan’s boasts the “Fantasy genre” of the game. Witches, wizards, and magic spells are just the tip of the iceberg for what you can expect to encounter in this route.

Along with Philia, players will also be meeting a brand new face! Meet Merlow, Aslan’s trusty Partner and Philia’s childhood friend. 

Merlow, much like his pink & cheese-loving counterpart, is a powerful familiar who will aid Aslan and Luna on their quest through various worlds where we’ll meet some… familiar faces?! But careful, not all is what it appears to be!

There’s countless fun to be had in Aslan’s story and we hope these new screenshots from the game get you looking forward to all the magical mishaps coming in the future!
