The Hero's Journey - Commentary by Joel and Trent

Hey Patrons,

Here's the commentary track for "The Hero's Journey aka My Life aka The Caleb Johnston (I'm Caleb)"!

Apologies for the echo-y audio, I didn't have my voice recording microphone on me so Trent and I raw dogged it on lavaliers. Hope it ain't too distracting! It sounds good over headphones and over phone speakers, but listening now on my laptop it's a bit much, I'll make sure to isolate each microphone better for the next commentaries.

I plan to do commentary for each movie this year, exclusively on Patreon!

Thanks so much for helping to make this project possible. I hope you have a lovely week!

Love, Joel Haver

Love this, it's really nice listening to you and Trent talk about your movie!

I really liked the detail about the Chekhov's mic cut and how you foreshadowed it, that was really good storytelling. The mic cut was really effective at that moment. Made me think of the last scene in Kiarostami's Close-Up

I loved this film and would love to be able to buy the movie poster.

Crazy that the "I'm not used to this car" line was improvised and yet was the most perfect thematic bow on a great little film. Love these commentaries and can't wait for more!

A press release from the year 2044: "The Criterion Collection is proud to announce 'The Joel Haver Collection: 12 Movies in 1 Year' UV-Ray set on the 20th anniversary of these movies. The collection comes complete with poster sized reprints of each movie's YouTube thumbnail and includes the exclusive Patreon commentary tracks for each film." (UV-Ray replaced Blu-Ray in the year 2038)
