I'm looking forward to the results, but hope you don't stretch yourself too thin, trying to make your self-imposed deadlines. A solid year of releasing one feature a month sounds like very hard work. It's crazy enough to do it once, doing it twelve times in a row may wear you out - keep it fun and healthy, and if you think you can, the best of luck with it!

I am so happy to see you pursue something of your own direction instead of everyone else. It seems like a lot of creators get stuck in satisfying the largest demo and catering to the common denominator, and I feel like the 'art' gets lost in that sometimes, as the end result can get cheapened. I'm looking forward to Joel Haver distilled down to his own creative mind, and am glad we can help support the endeavor. Love you man!

Another as a sequel in the Conjuring movie series with the most jump scare sound effects ever. One a Fast n Furious spin-off with more car stunts than any movie ever!!! Can't wait to see all these great movies!!! (but seriously, awesome to hear and it will be a challenge but I'm excited to see the results!)

It's the best way to hone your skills, be consistent and ultimately find your audience with enough dedication and hard work. With that said, I'm always wanting to push myself new and exciting places, and the fulltime commitment of weekly shorts definitely started to feel like an hindrance to that goal above an exciting artistic challenge. Do whatever excites you and feels right! Happy to hear more golden features are in the works.

2023-11-02 01:08:20 +0000 UTCAround a year ago I made it a goal to release a short every week in 2023 and now that I'm 10 months into that 12 month journey I fully understand how you're feeling. Weekly shorts are exhausting! I feel like I'm playing catch up most weeks! There's so many movies that I want to make but can't because I'm spread too thin balancing weekly shorts and work and social life! How you were able to do it for 4+ years is beyond me. I also came to the conclusion a few months ago that I needed to shift my filmmaking focus, and I'll only be working on features and larger scale shorts next year. I'm beyond excited to see what we create when our energy is channelled into work that best fits our specific areas of artistic skill and interest. I know this is going to result in your best work yet and I can't wait to watch all your new features next year. Good luck! You got this! 2024! Yeah!

To keep up views, have you thought about releasing the films in parts/scenes followed by the full release? Not sure how well that would work for your ideas, but I know it feels like a real commitment to watch a full film vs several minutes-long videos. Good luck Joel!
