Last week a fan reached out for an interview and I love having an excuse to talk about movies! We cover all sorts of great topics, it's worth a listen. I feel bad for not wearing headphones, causing his voice to be doubled in the audio! Live and learn!
I pride myself on being an accessible filmmaker, I talk a little about this in the interview, but I think an essential part of art is being able to engage with the artist if you so desire. In larger scale filmmaking, this is simply not possible. It can be alienating and discouraging to have these filmmakers we idolize be inaccessible and "above us". I hope to change this in my own way.
Obviously, when my channel is bigger, it'll be hard to say yes to every request, but for the time being I love being open to those interested.
Also! This week I completed a trilogy of shorts about dating! I'm super happy with how they turned out, I think they juggle my shorts' typical goofy comedy with a stronger emotional core. I didn't plan it to be a trilogy, but each one wound up inspiring a sequel. It was a fun way to spend a week.
