Hmm interesting point of view. Speaking for myself, I do feel the connection to all of those antagonist already. Even if we do not get a direct reconnect in an episode. But they are so familiar to me, I am instantly happy when I see them (And anxious at the same time) :D

Unfortunately a lot of people don’t like this episode but I’ve never understood why. It’s so timey wimey like the 10th Doctor (the David Doctor) say, and I love it. Like you said, it has everything I love about Doctor who. It has high stakes, a lot of drama and good acting from everyone. I really like the Doctor in this one. This is one of my favourite episodes from this series!

I very much admire the concept of changing the storytelling format of the show for series 13. I'm just not convinced that Chibnall should have been the person responsible. Having already created a complex and challenging ongoing storyline, he now adds additional elements - but the Flux plot thread (particularly the Doctors connection to it) remains a through-line which just about keeps all the other disparate elements connected. Nonetheless, when a single episode throws Daleks,Cybermen AND Weeping Angels at the viewer (with no emotional investment in any of them,at this particular
point) it really starts to feel a little desperate!
