"All right. We all know Edison. It's Tesla you've never heard of.", Graham, "Nikola Tesla's Night of Terror"
Tesla was a great inventor. He developed a bunch of stuff like alternating current, the related hydroelectric power plant and the Tesla coil. He also demonstrated fluorescent and neon lighting. People imagine he was the great "forgotten" inventor - although he was not forgotten to scientists. In 1960 he had an official SI unit named after him - a unit of magnetic field strength - Edison never got one of those. But I feel recently he's perhaps had a bit more hype than his accomplishments really warrant.
There's a famous picture of Tesla himself with his electrical equipment.

A spectactular picture - unfortunately it's a fake - it is a double exposure of the electrical discharge in a darkened room exposed against a shot of Tesla sitting on a chair in the room. There was a shot of Tesla sitting in a chair in the episode that was a deliberate recreation of him sitting in the chair.
"And what are you Queen of, exactly? A stolen ship and second-hand guns? A Queen of shreds and patches. You're not a ruler, you're a parasite.", The Doctor, "Nikola Tesla's Night of Terror"
That "shreds and patches" is a reference to a line from Shakespeare:
"A king of shreds and patches", Hamlet, "Hamlet"
which was then used in a song lyric from a Gilbert and Sullivan opera.
"A wandering minstrel I; A thing of shreds and patches", Nanki-Poo, "The Mikado"
Our Doctor knows her literature.
"We will overrun this world and pick the bones clean. Have you ever seen a dead planet?", Queen Skithra, "Nikola Tesla's Night of Terror"
The Queen is played by Anjli Mohindra. But, as mentioned several times above, her most famous Whoniverse role was in "The Sarah Jane Adventures" - a great series (I'll just plug it again). BTW: her partner is Sacha Dhawan who we just recently saw playing the Master in "Spyfall".
The creature makeup, here, is very close to the Racnoss as you mentioned.
Thomas Edison is played by Robert Glenister. Interestingly he was also in a fabulous Classic Who story (I've recently watched it with another reactor) and so he joins the select club of actors who have been in both Classic and New Who.
A friendly typo/English correction. At the end you had a popup saying "Bare with me". The correct phrase is "bear with me" - i.e. be patient with me. To "bare with you", would mean taking off some clothing 😉.
