They knew before the time of broadcast but after everything had been filmed.

Yeah, I guess you´re right about Missys appearance. Still my fangirls brain would have loved to see her 45 minutes every single episode :D
Wait, so are you saying that people back then didn´t know that Dr. Who would end, when it ended?
I am feeling better every day :) And hopefull going to enjoy the finale soon :)

Thank you sooo much for your thoughts. It´s always interesting to read comments like yours. Seeing where we agree and disagree on various topics. :) For me series 10 really is the weakest of them so far. But hey, there´s still hope for the finale :)

Yeah I have to agree this was one of the weaker episodes which is a shame because like the others I like this tardis team, certainly extremis was a high point but this and last weeks ep are a low point. Onwards and upwards hopefully. X

First off hope you feel better soon.
Again another episode I found weak and wasn't excited about watching this reaction to it. Like last week episode I give it 2/5 and I have it placed even lower at 130th/140. That means it just misses out on being in my bottom ten by one place.
That said rather like last week I did enjoy watching it again as your reaction and even was getting emotional towards the end with the humans teaming up and not allowing the Doctor to sacrifice himself.
I also wanted to like this story more because the writer was the same one who wrote the last story of classic Who although I prefer that one more. As for Missy crying. I think the indicator is, like last week, that she is regretting her past deeds although there is also the possibility she is lying and its part of some scheme.
I was going to talk about the series as a whole when we reached the end but as you raised the matter here yes I feel kind of the same way. I really enjoyed this series on first watch but that's because it felt refreshing with having Bill and Nardole after having Clara for so long and the issues I had had with the previous few series. I really like this Tardis team but yes on reflection and with repeated viewings the overall series seems rather weak with average or below average episodes. That said I still place it higher than I would Capaldi's first series and for that matter series 2 and 7.

Well yes, the past two episodes and Knock Knock are the weakest ones of the series. But they all have their moments and I like Bill as a character so I can enjoy a rewatch even though they are far from the best. I am actually glad that Missy's appearances have been rationed up to now. It makes her apparent rehabilitation a bit more mysterious and hard to judge.
The Scottish lady who wrote this story also wrote the final three episodes of Classic Who back in 1989. Although she didn't know it would be the final story when she wrote it. Her name is Rona Munro and she also co-wrote a 1999 German film called Aimée & Jaguar with its director Max Färberböck. It was based on a book by Erica Fischer which told a true story about an dangerous affair between two women (one Jewish) in 1943 Germany. I haven't seen the film so I can't vouch for it but it did get a good reception at the time.
I do hope you will be feeling healthier and less tired soon. I want you to enjoy the finale. Unless it's rubbish in which case I want you to be able to dislike it properly.
