Thank you so much for the kind words. In your defense, German is a really hard language to learn. :)

Yeah this was a bit of fun, but not one of the best. On the subject of your pronunciation I think it is very good, and your English is very good, way better than my German lol. If you need to miss a week or two no problem here, I hope it all goes well xx

Yeah, i suppose the dissapointment (If you are dissapointed by this episode) was way bigger, if you have waited for it, for a whole year. I don´t really understand why they do call certain episodes "Christmas" episodes if they have close to none Christmas in them. That´s so strange to me. I had fun, too. At least in the beginning. :)

This story was met with surprising dislike at the time, by fans. Being the first Who story in 12 months, I suppose the fan-base had become impatient and frustrated; but, although not in any way a notable story, I like it well enough. It's the closest thing to a 'Dr Who standalone' in quite some time. Yes, there are references to River (and Nardole returns, but knowledge of him is unnecessary), but it's really just a fun homage to superhero comic strips and mythos. Entirely throwaway (I agree with your rating); but inoffensive,light-weight fun.

Thank you so much for clarifying the Nardole issue I had. I can´t belive I forgot about him, just one week later. And also the 24 years stuff went over my head the first time the doctor mentioned it. I´m so glad though that I got it the second time :D I´m glad that my reaction put a smile on your face. That´s the reason why I´m doing them, and it makes me so happy to read, that I am making people happy :) Thank you for the headsup about the episodes. I don´t know if I will be able to plan a break, cause things could change very sudden. But if I have a say in it, I will definately try and make it the way you told me :) Thank you so much :)

Haha thanks for rethinking your first plan, pretending to be outraged over my rating :D I agree that the superhero stuff was probably deliberately stereotypical. I understand what they went for, the problem is that this also meant the episode was pretty predictable in my eyes. I like Dr. Mysterio :) Thank you for clarifying Nardoles appearance. I can´t belive I forgot about him. Thank you for the best wishes, I hope everything will go well. :) And also thank you for beeing so considerate with episode breaks. :)

Ok so the character you sort of recognised, Nardole, was from the previous story you just watched. As were the aliens who were the ones trying to buy the gem from River on the ship. And Hydroflax was the big robot thing from that story as well. But at least you got the 24 years reference, eventually. But you missing all that just made me love this reaction more and put a smile on my face which I needed right now. And I can't wait until your next reaction where you say your thoughts on this episode after reading these comments. As for this story. I like it (and I do enjoy superhero stuff) but I kind of think of it as roughly just above average. It's just a fun episode. It's doctor Who doing the superhero genre. If you're not into that type of thing then yeah I can see why people won't enjoy it as much. It's like when they did a disaster movie genre with Voyage of the Damned. I don't like disasters so I didn't enjoy that. Surprisingly though I did give this a 4/5 (I thought I'd given it a 3) but I only have it ranked at 73rd/140 so basically in the middle. As for the break. June would put you around episode 6 of the next series. If you're talking more end of June maybe episode 8. My advice. Try and get past episode 8 before that break. If possible you could then do episodes 9 & 10 during that period in June/July. But I would wait until everything is settled before moving past episode 10. If you need a break, take a break. A lot of other reactors factor in breaks now and again to recharge.

Well, it's not a bad episode in my books. Not great by any means but good fun. I'm not a comic book or super hero fanatic but I used to love the X Men comics when I was a kid and watched all of the films of them because of this. I think the stereotypical aspects of the story are probably deliberate btw. Along with the style they used, with the screen being split into panels like a comic book, it's intended to be a bit of a parody. I'm almost certain of that but it's all a question of interpretation I suppose. I'd probably give ot an eight but I know it was a disappointment for a lot of people after the previous episode which was both hilarious and heartbreaking. That was a second draft. I was originally going to open by pretending to be outraged by your opinion and insist that this is the best story ever. "How dare you criticise it?" "Who do you think you are??" etc. I think it was a good decision not to go with that! Social media has taught us that jokey mock outrage doesn't always translate too well to print. Doctor Mysterio (I read somewhere) is what Doctor Who is called in one or possibly several Latin American countries. Steven Moffat heard about that and like the idea of using it as a story title. Nardole, who we see assisting the Doctor in this story is from the previous episode. He was River Song's employee and ended up having his head removed and put into the evil Hydroflax's cyborg body. We are told here that the Doctor rescued the head and "reassembled" him so it is probably another artificial body that he is using now. I'm really looking forward to seeing what you make of series ten. All best wishes for your move. I hope it goes smoothly. Don't worry about missing the odd episode if you need to do that.
