A New Goal!

First off, thank you very much everyone to finally getting us firmly to our $1500 goal! I didn't mention anything last month because I expected a certain number of new backers to only stick around for the backer release, but as always your generosity and support for Harem Collector has left me in awe.

You guys are great, and the entire team is prepared to work even harder to meet your expectations for the project. I'm always left in wonderment at you all, who let me continue doing what I love for a living without having to kowtow to the demands of investors, producers or distributors.  So, a hundred thousand thank-yous!

Although I mention it briefly in this week's blog, the third artist I'm currently on the lookout for will be a second sprite artist. While Kumiho is great for doing icons and static assets, she doesn't have much experience with human figures and animation. So we're looking to bring on someone specifically to do character sprites, with a mind for getting the clockwork maid and Southport player housing implemented by version 0.31.

This will also allow us to reduce or eliminate the number of basic RPG Maker sprites in the game, allowing even more of Harem Collector's unique personality to shine through in every aspect of the game's design. Other high priority projects include new sprites for important NPCs who are still using default character sprites, such as the queen, the various orc characters, and characters like Borgan.

This will also allow us to address the many unique characters requested by Banneret-level backers, and really kick our response time for that tier into high gear. Once we have a proven, solid turnaround time for that tier reward, I'll raise the restriction on it a little, so anyone else who has ambitions to include their own unique characters in the game will have their opportunity.
