“And now that the first match is over, I bring you the second match of this round!” the MC exclaims while flying in circles over the court. Meanwhile my team is left watching them from our practice court through a large screen. “This match also pits two different Successors against each other! First we have Archal, the Successor to the Primordial of Magic! One of the latest batch of Successors chosen in response to Chaos’ finally choosing his own Successor!”

One person on the screen is highlighted in blue, with this particular person looking androgynous with me not actually being able to tell if they’re male or female. Since they’re wearing a thick robe, similar to what I’d see in the East back on Val. And they have a thick mask on their face, with long hair tied up in a ponytail.

“Archal is relatively new to the stage, staying out of the spotlight for his entire time in the Official System Events,” the MC begins. “No one knows what they look like behind their mask, not even their gender. All that’s known about them is their large variety of different magical affinities.”

“Next we have Richard Bloodtaker! The latest Successor of the Primordial of Sin amongst his current batch of Successors!” the MC continues, making a man with long red hair and a wild grin become highlighted on the other side of the court on the screen.

Unlike Archal, who has every single inch of their skin covered by clothing, Richard is scantily clothed with pants covered in tears and nothing on up top. Completely shirtless with just a few straps going across his torso connected to sheathes for various swords going across his back and his waist.

On top of that, he has various different tattoos covering his body. All the way from his shirt, legs, and arms to his face. And he’s grinning like a madman.

So, at the end of the day, he’s just the type Erebos would bless.

The man even starts to publicly talk about how he’s going to ‘force me to submit when he beats me’, completely disregarding the Successor of Magic in front of him as he talks like it’s already set in stone he’ll beat them.

As for his claims? I couldn’t care less about him.

He’s level six hundred, sure, but he’s not a threat to me. And the audience immediately starts hating on him so much that all I can hear from the audience are screams of rage and hatred with people filling the air with curses at him.

It’s kind of amusing to watch.

Guess people aren’t particularly happy with that kind of threat aimed at me.

I just yawn though with my hands in my jacket pockets and an indifferent expression on my face. Because it really doesn’t matter what he says.

To my great amusement, when their round starts, Archal quickly begins wiping the floor with Richard. Turning the Successor of Sin’s grand threat and bragging into a complete joke.

In fact, Archal’s team ends up winning with an even greater lead than my team did. 25:7.

Not a large lead on our score, but a lead, nonetheless.

What’s even more ironic is that Archal himself kills the Successor of Sin personally. And almost as if he did it for me, he used destruction, ice, and chaos magic to do it. Combining them all into a single powerful spell.

In fact, the MC talks about that as well. Speculating that Archa did it for me.

No one knows if that’s true, though, since Archal doesn’t speak. At most they’ll use magic to write letters in the air, but they’ll never speak out loud.

They’ve apparently done things like that before. Taking revenge and stuff like that against people who have wronged someone else for no reason in games.

Some people speculate that they’re some sort of white knight man defending women since they do it more often when it’s a woman as the victim, while others say they’re a woman defending other women.

There are entire fan groups dedicated to both sides. Ones speculating Archal is a woman and ones speculating they’re a man.

I can’t help but feel a slight chill run down my spine as I continue doing some research on them even after they leave the court.

Because it’s kind of terrifying how far fans will go in speculation and other things. Like making fan art.

There’s already fan art of me and Archal as well.

None of the art enters the 18+ range though, like some of their other fan art. No doubt because of Chaos.

Chaos would kill them, their entire family, and even their planet as well if someone tried making 18+ fan art of me. There’s no doubt about that.

I know because someone tried at some point, and their planet was mysteriously devoured by a massive passing swarm of planet eaters. A type of bug monster that travels through space before nesting on planets and eating them down to their cores. Following which they move onto the next planet.

Of course, Chaos remains oddly silent throughout my entire sequence of thoughts. And he never said anything when I saw news about that happening as well.

All he said was that he was busy at the time.

But he sounded oddly self-satisfied while saying that.

Despite there not being any 18+ fan art, there is still fan art shipping me and Archal in different ways. Some romantic and others platonic.

Anyway, I’m more interested in how our match against Archal will go if we end up facing each other. Because it could be interesting to see.

Archal seems to be quite powerful. And they’re almost at the level cap for Class C, making them the highest level user I’ve seen in the event.

As for the new batches of Successors that MC keeps talking about? Apparently other Primordials have started making more Successors ever since Chaos made me his Successor.

So the total number of Successors has risen quite a bit over the past months.

Although there are still a couple Primordials who don’t select many Successors at all even after Chaos chose me. Like Hel, the Primordial of Death.

She still only has three Successors total.

Of course, there are also Primordials who are the complete opposite. Specifically the Primordial of Magic and the Primordial of Sin.

Those two are choosing new Successors one after another.

Especially Erebos.

And since they’re in conflict, they’re sending the Successors to fight against each other in a sort of proxy war.

The two of them have always had the most Successors, though, so it’s not too big a change. For the higher Class people in the universe, that is.

Since most of the new Successors are in Class B and below.

Etheria has always just blessed anyone she sees who is really talented in magic while only looking from time to time in-between her magical experiments. Meanwhile Erebos blesses whoever is the most sinful and seems amusing at the time of his mood swings.

So they both rack up quite the number of Successors regularly even without this recent increase.

I yawn while continuing to watch the MC go on and on before introducing the next two teams. Neither team of which has any Successors on it, unlike the last four teams.

Thanks to that, the match isn’t as interesting. And neither is the match after it.

At some point my team starts to practice and make up some strategies for facing Archal’s team in case we end up competing against their team in the second round. But when the first round finally comes to an end, we end up finding ourselves facing one of the other two teams instead. Neither of which are particularly strong.

The second round begins rather quickly after the first, and we win said round just as quickly. Wiping the floor with the team that has no Successors at all with a perfect game. 25:0.

I almost feel sorry for them.

Almost being the key word.

Of course, I make sure to claim Skill Trees over the course of the match. Because, unlike the first round, I actually get a couple kills this time. So I get a couple Skill Trees.

And now we just wait until the final round begins.
