Wolf

After around an hour or so of lazing around, the two system notifications that appeared after killing Fortuna’s clone reappear with one of them flashing. Almost as if warning me to hurry up.

Beta Administrator Dungeon Notification

Congratulations! You have officially cleared Fortuna’s Chamber of Fortune!

As a reward for defeating a clone of the Progenitor of Luck, Fortuna has declared that you may contact her for aid three times as she now owes you a favor for your part in her entertainment.

However, as she may not enter the dungeon without the dungeon’s permission, should you request her aid within the dungeon, it will be through a temporary clone and not her true body. Otherwise should you wish for aid from her true body, you must request a favor that is outside of the Beta Dungeon.

Furthermore, Fortuna has declared herself to be your ally from this day forward so long as you remain entertaining.

Beta Administrator Dungeon Notification

Congratulations! You have cleared the six hundredth floor of the Beta Administrator Dungeon!

As a reward, you shall be given up to one entire month of rest between the four hundredth and four hundredth and first floors!

In order to enter the rest floor known as the 600.5th floor, simply enter the exit that appears afterwards!

Hmm. Yeah, the System doesn’t like me resting on the six hundredth floor instead of resting on the rest floor. But I thought I should try it since the floor doesn’t actually have a time limit for how long I can stay here.

And resting here then resting on the rest floor right after will extend my rest time.

I let out a sigh as the notification starts flashing more rapidly in warning. Then I proceed to dismiss my expanded system store and walk through the exit. Following which I find myself in the nice and comfortable rest area, where I go ahead and summon my expanded system store again.

And return to resting.

Summoning Fortuna for a battle could be very useful. So long as her clone gets lucky, that is.

If her clone is lucky enough in whatever battle I summon her for, then I could easily kill another Progenitor clone. Assuming said enemy Progenitor clone gets really unlucky as well.

Of course, if Fortuna’s clone ends up being unlucky and the Progenitor clone we’re fighting ends up lucky, then that’s just a waste of a summon.

That’s fine too, though. Since I can summon her three times.

It’s too bad I’ve already used up all my previous Progenitor clone summons at this point. And Phoenix obviously didn’t give me any, seeing as she wants me dead for petty reasons.

Which was a waste. I didn’t get shit from beating Phoenix.

Other than humiliating her in front of the entire multiverse, that is.

I guess that isn’t bad either, considering everything she did to try and kill me.

A Progenitor went all out in an attempt to kill a new Progenitor and failed miserably.

Apparently she’s been in hiding ever since. And she even declared Grim as her enemy as well for tricking her into entering the Beta Dungeon through her clone and therefore causing her this humiliation.

Of course, in reality she’s just taking her anger out on Grim for her loss. And everyone knows it.

But I don’t really care what she does right now.

Fenrir’s protecting anyone I care about, and even Phoenix won’t provoke Fenrir too much.

He killed her predecessor, after all. There’s no way she stands a chance against a much older Progenitor who even killed the last Progenitor of Fire.

Not that any of that would matter much since she’s been declared a criminal. So she wouldn’t be facing just him if she tried.

I yawn at that thought as I stare up at the ceiling of my living room. Briefly wondering what the previous Progenitor of Fire was like. But considering their element along with the fact that Fenrir had to kill them, I don’t think it takes much thought to figure that out.

On another note, Grim has been surprisingly quiet about anything unrelated to his little war with Titania as of late.

Makes me wonder if he’s either planning something, or if he’s just given up one dealing with me to focus on Titania.

I could see it being either the former or the latter, if I’m being honest.

Grim is very much the plotting type. But at the same time, he’s been facing one loss after another for a long time now. So I wouldn’t be too surprised if he gave up. Albeit temporarily.

I can’t see him giving up permanently, though. Seeing as I’ll be gaining control of the Reality Chronicle once I clear the dungeon.

A treasure he used to believe was his. And probably still believes is his despite it not being his.

And I find it hard to believe he would just give up a Reality Treasure without a fight.

I’m already being warned by Fenrir that there will probably be some other Progenitors who are going to be after the Reality Treasure when I get out of the dungeon as is. Which will be a problem in and of itself.

But he also said that they’ll probably wait for Grim to take it first.

They’ll wait to watch the two of us battle, then take it from the tired victor of the battle.

Or something like that.

Overall, it’s going to be annoying when I get out of the dungeon.

Very annoying.

More than one Progenitor aiming for my head – or rather, the Reality Treasure – and the issue of setting up my own Domain to control. Not to mention the fact that I’m still being worshipped outside of the dungeon. And I’m going to have to deal with that on a regular basis.

A shiver runs down my spine at the thought of people lining up to pray to me or some ridiculousness like that.

Several minutes pass in silence as I stare up at the ceiling before a very brief thought runs through my mind.

Maybe I should just stay in the dungeon…

It doesn’t even take me a second to shake that thought out of my head though, because I have to leave. There’s no question about that.

So with that in mind, I stop thinking about all this and bury my nose in a book.

Avoiding my problems is always a nice way to cope after all.

Comments

I edited the chapter to make it clearer for the former, and the latter is obvious to any Progenitor watching without having to be told.

Don't understand the Phoenix not provocing Fenrir part and lying low as she was declared a multiversal criminal and sentenced to death by the progenitor council. Also how did everyone find out about Wolf getting the Reality Chronicle as a reward for completing the dungeon? The system specifically told him not to tell anyone. Thank you for the chapter.
