Sorry again, but here you go :)

Dr. Who Reaction WITH AUDIO !

I´m glad you are agreeing with me about the episode and it beeing not really good. It has it´s good moments, yes but overall there are way too many inconsistencies to enjoy. I don´t remember the TARDIS control room in the Christmas invasion. I may have to go back and rewatch it. :) I was asking that myself, if that miniature TARDIS was Amys. I didn´t mention it though. And also that telescope reminded me of the episode "Tooth and Claw", I wanted to mention that but there wasn´t any time cause stuff happened so fast :D

"Salvage of a lifetime. You meant the ship. I meant Clara.", The Doctor, "Journey to the Centre of the TARDIS" This is another odd one to rate. It's basically just an excuse to explore the interior of the TARDIS with a bunch of dislikable salvage guys - made even more dislikable due to the "joke". So although we get to see lots of exciting things and we find out some Doctor/Clara stuff, there's not much to the story. Of course the English episode title is a reference to "Journey to the Center of the Earth" by Jules Verne. I suppose that title was a spoiler in 1864 as well. The tilted camera shots (called a "Dutch" angle but actually from early German ("Deutsch") cinema) enhances the our feelings of Clara's unease and disorientation while she is walking through the TARDIS corridors. I liked them doing that. We've seen TARDIS corridors and even an alternate control room before with Amy and Rory wandering around in "The Doctor's Wife", but we have actually seen another TARDIS interior room location before in New Who - do you recall where? It was in "The Christmas Invasion" when the Tenth Doctor is selecting his costume. As mentioned by Stephen above, we have heard of the swimming pool before in New Who. It was also referred to in "Day of the Moon" to catch River when she falls from the building. But the true origin for this story that a Classic Who episode where our team had to walk around and around through the TARDIS rooms and corridors. That episode used some locations from a disused hospital - it looked nothing like a coherent TARDIS interior - all a bit run-down. And of course that story had a swimming pool as mentioned above by Ian. I did like them bringing back some of the props we've seen before. Clara finds the Doctor's cot we saw in "A Good Man Goes to War" and she picks up a small TARDIS model which I always assume is the one Amy made for her raggedy Doctor. The telescope that Clara sees in the observatory reminds me of the light chamber device in "Tooth and Claw". I've never checked how close the two devices actually look. So, lots of nice new things to see but not a great story. "Why have you got zombie creatures? Good guys do not have zombie creatures!", Clara, "Journey to the Centre of the TARDIS"

Yeah, to be honest I was confused as well. But it´s not the first time this happened. While watching the episode I do really enjoy it, but when I have finished it, and think about it, and overall opinion forms, and sometimes changes my perception of the episode, looking back at it. It´s the same with some movies as well. You watch them and are really entertained by them, but as soon as you´re finished the thought forms in your head, that it´s ok to have it watched once, but you really don´t need to watch it a second time again. However I´m glad you did enjoy watching the episode :)

I agree with you one the android story. It didn´t make sense to me either. Glad I´m not alone with this opinion :) Thanks for your thoughts about the episode :)

While editing that thought came to me as well. That Clara has read the doctors name in that book. Didn´t put those things together on the first watch though. Hmm it does make sense the way you explain the existence of the monsters in the first place. It´s an interesting thought and indeed the only possible explanation. You´re right they were mentioned. The swimming pool and the library, i forgot about that. Thanks for reminding me :) Haha same over here, the weather is really crazy. At least the heat is gone at the moment :)

I am a little confused I must confess, you seemed to be enjoying the episode, but afterwards a little less enthusiastic. I think I agree with Stephen, I loved the Tardis interior. Great acting from Matt as always imo, (he is of course my favourite doctor) the plot with the brothers was a bit weak and probably just written as way of exploring the Tardis. However I enjoyed watching this again with you. X

This is one of those stories that had a great premise (the exploration of the TARDIS; the cyclical nature of the threat and its resolution); but it needed a serious rewrite, imo. The subplot of the poor guy being fooled by his brothers into thinking he's an android. It's a reverse twist on the Bladderunner-esque idea of someone being an Android, but not realizing it; except that it makes absolutely no sense! Did this young guy never question the many parts of his life which would have contradicted his perception of what he was? E.g. when he went to the toilet (presumably several times a day - from my own experience) did he never think to himself "what's this all about, then?". Did he not bleed - even once?? Those pirate characters were poorly written, poorly conceived, and (quite simply) dumb! Great little moments, though; especially the callbacks through Who's history. The swimming pool had been seen in a 4th Doctor story, and had become a tongue-in-cheek reference in the modern series; and those voices from the broken console, starting with Susan in the first ever episode and going through all the years since! Overall: interesting, but flawed.

This episode is another one that seems to divide people and I am in a minority I think in loving it. I love the TARDIS interiors especially the white background at the end. I love the monsters, I think they're bloody terrifying. And Clara's dress of course is beyond wonderful but I accept that's not exactly a positive of the story itself. My only quibble is why the people who get burnt should turn so murderous. Random thoughts: Clara knows The Doctor's name because she has read it in that Time War book. That is why she says "so that's who". I'm certain that the two brothers who are mean to the "android" brother are not meant to be remotely likeable. I get what you're saying about why the monsters came to exist but I suppose that they were leaking out from a possible future. That fact that they were causing it to happen seemed to be one of those wibbly wobbly time loops where the past and future cause each other. In fact as it turned out it didn't even turn out to be the future that actually ends up happening. I think The Doctor likes Clara but he is also baffled by her and he can't stand having a mystery that he can't figure out. The big friendly button burned Clara's hand when she tried to hold it which is why we could see the words back to front on the palm of her hand. The swimming pool and the library are mentioned by The Doctor in his first episode. He told young Amelia that he had been in both of them because the library was in the pool at the time! The UK has been having weird weather recently. In my part of London we have been getting bright sunshine, gusty winds, torrential rain (and even hail) and nice gently mild weather sometimes all in the same day.
