Awww thank you for pointing out the pizza boxes. That´s a really nice callback, that I didn´t pick up on :)
Yes absolutely! The moment I read that part in your comment about Gwen and the monster, I instantly thought of the Countryside people. It´s funny that your sentence ended with their mentioning as well. I´m right there with you. Seems kind of strange that she doesn´t remember anymore.
I was so shocked about the mentioning of the money that people paid to watch Jack beeing tortured. Truely dreadfull.
Thank you for telling me about RTD´s voice. I didn´t notice :)

"Because for the first time in my life, I've met a monster, is that clear?", Gwen Cooper of Oswald Danes, "Torchwood: Miracle Day - The Gathering"
Lots of stuff happens as our plot moves along.
We see the Jubilee Pizza boxes again (Gwen hides the drug boxes in them). We first saw Jubilee Pizza in Series 1, Episode 1 when Gwen impersonated a pizza delivery person in order to penetrate the Torchwood Hub. And it was a Jubilee Pizza delivery woman who was killed in "Cyberwoman".
Oh, and Craig had a Jubilee Pizza leaflet, in this week's Doctor Who "The Lodger" episode!
The police searches of Gwen's house is chilling - and we certainly see parallels from history.
I don't really understand why it was so easy for Oswald to locate Gwen's house - no honour among people smugglers, I guess. And Gwen attacks him with a cooking pan!
Gwen says "for the first time in my life, I've met a monster". I suppose we're meant to think that she considers Oswald worse than monsters like the Daleks or the Weevils etc. But my thoughts went to people in the village in "Countrycide".
I had forgotten that people had to pay money to view Captain Jack's torture.
It's nice that Rhys finds the clue about the two cities - he's still a useful member of the group. It was a nice thought about interfering with a Silurian base, but there are only meant to be a relatively small number of underground Silurian bases (like the one under that village in Wales) and they may not have had one near Shanghai or Buenos Aires that would have been affected by the Blessing.
BTW: RTD voices the radio annoucer at the start of the episode.
