An update on the Paulo Roseville High School ID cards (they’re HERE!)

UPDATE 8/2/22: They arrived! It took a lot of back and forth (see below) bu the company finally printed them and mailed them to us. We will be mailing them out over the next week!

Please take this as your FINAL REMINDER to submit an updated address to the Google Form, if you moved address. This form will close in two days. Remember, we will use your most recent submission to the form, so if you forgot if you filled it out, just submit again, there's no harm.

These are late!

Earlier this year we had a promotion for patrons old and new, where we promised if you filled out a form we’d send you one of these in the mail by May. And we didn’t!

Here’s what matters:

If you already filled this out and haven’t moved this year, no need. But if you changed your address or forgot if you filled it out, you can fill it out again! We’ll de-duplicate responses and use your most recent info, so no worries if you can’t remember if you already responded. Just submit another response!

All current patrons can fill this out, by the way! Just go for it if you want one. We’ll ship one to you as a thank you! We just want to sort it out for everyone, as fast as we can!

Excuses, excuses:

I (Oliver) put off ordering these for a couple months. I prioritised other things. I’m sorry. But that’s just half the wait — while I left it all to the last minute, the reason I didn’t get them ordered and shipped at the last minute (like I normally would) relates to the suppliers!

Basically, for things like this I tend to contact manufacturers who made our stuff in the past. So I emailed the people who made the last ID card! And… they didn’t reply. Despite them replying earlier this year before we started the promotion and checked that they were still around to do it. So… I tried another email and contact method. What do you do? Wait a week? Two?

Eventually I guess this company just stopped responding. I moved on to a company we last ordered from in 2012, for the original Bittersweet Club International cards! They seemed to be around, so I emailed them with a comprehensive message that explained what I wanted, how to make it, the art, and the delivery address.

No reply. A week later I find a Whatsapp contact. Instant reply! My email went to spam. They find it, and a day later, I get the message “What was your company’s name?” I reply, and encourage them to send me an invoice. “Is the number on the card 2007?” “Yes, like I said.” A day passes. “Like this? *image*” “Yes, please invoice me and make it ASAP.” “You want the text UV printed?” “Yes, like the spec in my email. Please invoice me so I can pay immediately.” Then a weekend passes!

It is like pulling teeth! And after you pull each tooth you wait a day or three for a reply.

So when will the next History of Power Rangers be out? When it’s done. I’m sorry if I’m coming across as ungrateful or needlessly angry, since I’m not. I love that you all care about this series, and I’m doing everything in my power to get it done. But it’s not easy and it doesn’t happen overnight. Asking me when the next one is going to come is not making it get done any faster. I have warned you all before that 

Conclusion

I expect they’ll ship them in time for us to have them ready to ship after we return from AX.. so, a July shipping date!

Once again, we do apologise for how long it’s taking! But we’ll make it happen, and soon.
