Exactly, Lucy may have been a bad friend to Mike in the past at times, but she's done nothing but look out for Daisy and this honestly seems to still stem from Daisy's jealousy that Lucy is more conventionally attractive.

2022-03-03 03:36:15 +0000 UTCYeah, Lucy has really only cared for Daisy's well-being whenever they interact and it sucks that Daisy doesn't really reciprocate that and only ever seems to think that Lucy is dramatic and mean for no reason... Only time I can remember her acknowledging Lucy's perspective was in the Halloween chapter but that was only it was so obvious how Mike was being while Lucy had been consistently avoiding him up til then.

So, she has every right to speak on a situation that involves her. Which is all she's speaking on. She said he's too nice, because he's looking at this kiss they've just shared and worrying about if he hurt her specifically. So, she's saying. She's truly okay with it. Her demonstrating that by copying Lucy may have been unnecessary. Yet, Daisy isn't speaking on behalf of Lucy. Because Lucy has nothing to do with the kiss Her and Mike just shared. Yeah, he may have kissed Lucy earlier. But that literally has nothing to do with Daisy and Mike's current situation. So she doesn't need the full story, since Daisy is only speaking about her own. No one else's.

2022-03-02 19:25:09 +0000 UTCThis is essentially the same reassurance Paulo gave Lucy whenever he said that there's no drama or grudges with him and that he accepts [and loves] her as she is. It's fun to think how Paulo and Daisy are besties and their friendship was essentially formed and maintained in parallel to Mike and Lucy's, where they had much less drama and only ever wanted to impress and encourage one another, with no expectations or pressures of underlying romantic feelings toward each other. They've been observing Mike and Lucy's dynamics the entirety of the story and clearly saw how the two had a codependent friendship that gave them weird expectations of everyone else in their lives. And we've now seen how Paulo and Daisy have set Lucy and Mike straight, respectively.
