Comments

This marks the first Season Four appearance of Finn, although he doesn't have any dialogue. Blaine got his first voice-over in this episode. Every piece of clothing Isabelle wears in this episode was designed exclusively for Glee by Vogue's own Anna Wintour, who did not receive any billing for her work. This marks the first time in his running that Samuel Larsen missed an episode as Joe During Everybody Wants To Rule The WorldBlaine is seen dressed as a wizard, which may be a nod to Darren Criss playing Harry Potter in A Very Potter Musical. Some of Blaine’s interests are inspired by Darren Criss’s real life interests. The cast voted Darren ‘The Biggest Nerd’ in a superlatives game due to his obsessions with superhero’s, comic books and Sci-Fi. Dalton Rumba (who played the deaf teacher) reappears for the first time since Sectionals, back in Season One. Mister Monotony was originally planned to be sung in this episode. It was cut for unknown reasons. The performance and song was released as a part of the Deleted Scenes Special Feature on Glee: The Complete Fourth Season. Chris Colfer has stated numerous times that he sees Kurt getting a job in fashion rather than entertainment, and in this episode Kurt applies to a fashion internship. This marks the second time that both Party Rock Anthem and Moon River are used as background music. The first time for Party Rock was during Sam's stripper scene in Hold on to Sixteen, the first time for Moon River was when Kurt and Rachel had breakfast at Tiffany's in New York, however, the Arthur Fiedler and the Boston Pops version was used in that one. The version heard in this one was the original by Henry Mancini and His Orchestra. MISTAKES: When Kurt meets Isabelle in her office, she has a page open on her iPad that shows some of Kurt's 'interesting clothing choices', she accidentally presses the home button, but when zoomed back up its somehow gone back to the clothing page. At the debate during Artie's speech, the clock is shown from moving from 2:30 to 3:00 - however, when he finishes his speech, the clock is shown to be 2:45. The background picture on Kurt's phone has Kurt and Blaine wearing the outfits from The Break-Up, which is the next episode. Rachel isn't good at cooking, however in Ballad she was. In the Glee-cap, it's stated that Will is trying to get the club a second national win by redoing lessons that they did last year, referring to Britney 2.0. However, Britney/Brittany, the predecessor of the aforementioned episode, happened two years prior. During “A Change Would Do You Good”: When the song begins, Rachel puts in the disc into the DVD drive for the song, but the song starts before the disc is inside. The man taking a photo on Rachel's iPhone took a photo the first time and later on he took another photo but the phone was not on (the screen was black).

This episode has the debut of Sarah Jessica Parker as Kurt’s new boss, Isabelle Wright. She even sings a song from Annie, which she was a replacement for the OG lead on Broadway. During Blaine’s solo, he is dressed as a wizard, which is a nod to his Very Harry Potter Musical days. Below is a deleted Sue and Will duet and 2 BTS clips of the episode. https://youtu.be/oX5IfKlgAek?si=epMs_HJuidZg7hox https://youtu.be/bqcVWNPf8lA?si=KloZ-afylbKOXcDP https://youtu.be/WwIPoQnuLY0?si=QBj3RxlRVpfk52wx
