It's good they took somebody's outing seriously. *sighs* This ep really hurts. I'm having a bit of disconnect. Finn outing Santana was because she was being a bitch and he got sick of it and snapped. Karofsky was a violent bully. He physically assaulted Kurt. Why does it seem that Karofsky and Finn get sympathy and understanding but Santana gets "maybe if she hadn't been such a bitch"? Don't get me wrong; what happened with Karofsky was absolutely horrendous. I just wish Santana had gotten half the empathy and understanding.

2025-07-29 08:50:03 +0000 UTCYou know I completely agree!!! I just had to comment on a post of a memorial page for him because people were saying very hurtful things. I had to tell them to at least have some respect to not comment those things on a page that was remembering the good parts of him! Also, I understand to a certain degree because my father had an alcohol and drug addiction problem (I know it’s a different situation but still) he passed away in 2021 when I was about 13 or 14 years old of fentanyl poisoning. People always tried to tell me that he was not a great person, but no, he was a very good person with a big heart! He just made reckless decisions that got him into a lot of trouble! So I understand wanting to remember the good parts of people that made bad decisions because at the end of the day we’re all human and all make mistakes! Some worse than others but we should take that as a learning experience!

If he would have just done his prison time, chances are he’d be out by now or close to it and he would have the rest of his life to learn from what he did and to try and better himself. And I know I’ll probably get some backlash for this, but I think his death matters just as much as Cory and Naya’s. Cory was an addict and his life could have went a completely different way. If he weren’t on Glee, people would probably say he was just another junkie who got what he deserved because he chose to put those drugs in his system. Although I don’t believe that, being a former addict myself, but I know that’s how other people think about us. Addiction is a disease, and who’s to say what Mark did wasn’t some type of mental disorder as well? I’m sorry, but I don’t think people just choose to do what Mark did, same with being an addict. Aside from Naya’s accident, I can see the other side of Mark and Cory’s deaths. Mark was a core member of the show, same as Cory and Naya, and I just don’t think his death should be cast aside because he did something bad. People do very bad things all the time, but for him, he just happened to be in the spotlight and got caught for it. I’m not excusing what Mark did, he was wrong in every way, but that doesn’t mean his death didn’t mean something to his friends and family. If you think I’m wrong, that’s okay. People are allowed to have an opinion. I don’t expect you to agree with me or apologize for having an opinion. Just don’t expect me to do the same.
