v2: Update #02

Hi everyone, hope you're all doing well out there.

Apologies for not having anything to show for this month yet. I'm doing my best to deal with the recent unexpected loss of someone very dear in my immediate family, the circumstances of which are tragic and something I'd never wish upon anyone.

I've been going back and forth over the last few days, considering whether or not to let you guys know, but I've decided it's unfair to leave you feeling like I'm just accepting your financial support and then taking the piss by not providing any details on what's to come next, or what's going on at all.

I can confirm I am working on the next 2042 chapter, though with everything that's been going on recently I'm not exactly running at full capacity. I can't predict how I'm going to feel from one day to the next. I find I can sometimes put my mind to things for a few hours and be productive, sometimes I can't go anywhere near my workspace because it all feels so silly. There's also the matter of being there for my family, who are also dealing with this, trying to process everything and figuring out how to move forward together.

Thinking back to what I said near the end of last year, my intent to make 2022 better than 2021. So much has changed, and I've lost so many loved ones since I posted that statement, that despite my efforts to push forward and evolve my work as MonoManiac I truly believe this has been the worst year in my entire life.

That said, I'm far from giving up. It may seem funny, or sad, or whatever, to some of you, but my work as MonoManiac has been the most enjoyable stuff I've ever created, and I wake every day excited to carry on with what I'm doing. I'm so grateful for your support here on Patreon, for every time you visit my store and pick up something new, and for all your feedback and ideas. I'm not going to throw all that away easily. I just need some time before I imagine I can return to 'normal', or as close to it as I can get.
