DCL 9 and DD 5.1 Development Update

Today I wanted to give you a short update about the two ongoing beta programs for DD 5.1 and DCL 9

As far as DD 5.1 goes, the test is going rather smoothly. There is one outstanding and fairly vicious bug that has been hiding in DD 5 already and I need to fix ASAP, because is has the potential to destroy gear in some situations. Eeek! Thankfully it's easy to fix, so there is that! Other than that, the new features seem to work as intended. I am also going to add a few new items, namely DD's first ever box-tie armbinder. I am very excited about the box-binder, because people have been asking for one for a while now, and it's one of the last device types not yet covered by DD. There will also be a few other new devices and new bodyslide-able models for the armbinder, so armbinder clipping should be a thing of the past soon! I am also looking at implementing the new inflatable gag in a way that it can actually be inflated. Basis for this is going to be the already existing code for the inflatable plugs! Neither of this is supposed to take an unsurmountable amount of time, so I expect DD 5.1 to still release somewhere in January or early February.

About DCL 9, after the Beta 2 release, bug reports have slowed down considerably, compared to the Beta 1 version. Which is a good thing, because it will bring DCL9 a big step closer to release. There are a few problems remaining, such as an issue with DD Beast Race Refits, for which its maintainer (Skullered) already provided me a fix I just need to merge. People also reported a few smaller issues I still need to try to reproduce and fix, but these things do not seem to be showstoppers. Like DD 5.1, the final version of DCL 9 should release sooner rather than later, possibly in the same timeframe.
