Where we're at Sept 2024

Good afternoon Quimblrs. This was a super busy month for us and I'm happy to announce that there are going to be some big changes coming to Quimbly, I may also go back to make developer logs like the old days (Only OG's remember the DEBlogs). One of the big things that is getting in the way of progress mind you is the fact that we have been setting up our business legally with the CRA which of course is a hassle and we have to hire an accountant to make sure we're doing everything correctly. Anyways, let's go over with what we've been doing project wise.

Project: Quimbly

Big changes are coming to project quimbly, Much like real life a wave of inflation has hit the jobs of quimbly. Not to worry, unlike real inflation all this does is make all the jobs pay more with no change to the price of goods (what a dream). We also fixed the Sophia Live2D model and it's layering is correct, sorry about that it took far too long. Speaking of far too long, we are having so many damned problems trying to get the live2d model to work on mobile, I figured I was getting better at software development and fixing it this time would be a walk in the park, that was the biggest miscalculation of my entire life as it turns out no matter what tools i use android just hates everybody always. Lastly, I would like to let you all know that all the jobs are getting some degree of upgrade, most of them just having new UI but the bouncer mini game getting a new bag searching component where you have to make sure all the customers aren't bringing in dangerous contraband!

 

Fatty RPG:

For the FattyRPG we have been working on expanding the playable area to have room for more fun events, we've added some more complexity when it comes to building structures. Now you must place a structure and it will appeared greyed out until you bring the neccessary materials. We also have made some expanded renders of our lovely ladies which will come in handy for sure ;). We're working on getting some last minute bugs fixed up before the belly direct so we can show you guys even more video footage!

 

 





2024 Belly Direct!:

This is going to be the first Belly Direct that is to be hosted by both me and Opheliaarts, the two founders of Team Quimbly. We started this little venture together a couple years ago and with the new partnership being immortalized in Canadian law we think it's fitting to host live events together. Oph is also working on a Vtuber model which unfortunately will not be complete in time for the Belly Direct but we've got some good sprites anyways. We've also got some great projects and a REALLY BIG ANNOUNCEMENT we are going to let everyone know at the direct. You certainly don't want to miss it because at the direct you'll find out how to win a 1000USD Gaming PC that has 6TB of storage, 32GB ddr4 Ram, Ryzen 5600X CPU and a GTX 3060Ti graphics card!

Now for some unfortunate news...

As I stated earlier we are making quimbly a real company, meaning I will soon have to declare quimbly on my income taxes and do a lot more tax and accountants do not come cheap. Depending on what the accountant says on my first meeting I may have to raise the price of the Patreon Tiers, I want to let you all know in advance so it isn't a massive shock if I find I need to. But it all depends on the percentage of tax I will need to give and how much I must pay my accountant.
