[Project File] How to Make a Realistic Tank in Unreal Engine 5

This post contains a link to the project file for download.

In this video, you will learn how to create a realistic M1A1 Abrams tank in Unreal Engine 5. You will learn how to: Configure the camera and the vehicle movement controller. Use the Chaos vehicle system to simulate the wheel movement. Implement the logic for rotating the tank turret and adjusting the gun elevation using blueprints. Fire the tank shells with realistic trajectories and effects. Add a gun sight widget using the widget blueprint editor and display it on the screen. By the end of this tutorial, you will have a fully functional tank that you can use in your own Unreal Engine games. Let’s get started!

This is insane!

Sorry I can’t take the suggestion because I’m working on ocean simulation.

Hi, thanks for the tutorial, it was very helpful! Can you please tell me how to implement different destruction depending on the chosen weapon or where I can read about it? For example a wall. The machine gun would destroy only the top layer of the wall, and a shot from a tank/RPG would break the entire wall.

The Nody

Hi. I use UE5.2 for this project.

Hey thanks for the project, which version of UE5 are you using?
