Release of Version 4 of the Facepack - Brazilian Serie A

Just tried all this. Unfortunately no fix. Very weird

It’s all real strange error .. I would do the following.. cut out all graphics again of your folder and paste them at your desktop .. then reload the skin, check if every pictures are gone, close FM23 and Steam completely, start FM23 again, paste the faces from the desktop back in der graphics folder, reload the skin again .. let’s see if this works out

All I am doing is starting a new game with the 98-99 database 4.0 and with the V4 facepack, retro logos and kits graphics installed. There are only one config files in these so the issue isn't that. I then ensure I am using the Football Manager database and not any updated one, with some real name fixes and the retro database clicked. Load my leagues as usual and eventually when I get into the game I can see that some of my players are all mixed up, Lillian Thuram has someone else's face... I am using the Zealand skin but I have tried with it off so also not that.

Hey JoMo, I have tried everything I can possibly think of at this point and unfortunately still having issues. Initially I thought it was an issue with the facepack but not seeing many others having this problem, or at least eventually overcoming it but I can't seem to. I've tried everything from restarting my PC to completely reinstalling the FM23 game and nothing seems to be working. Settings when I reload skin are all good and the graphics folder seems to all be in the right places and everything.

Did you restart your PC. It took some time but everybody got it working with the steps above

I seem to be having the same issue as some others above. Players having the wrong faces. Tried reinstalling the whole game and adding the graphics folders back, triple checked all the folders and still getting this problem.

i have reinstall the fm but eventually faces appears (v4 and add on) but mostly are wrong with wrong names.

basically i have 3 folder which is free version of facepack, Faxi Kondi Ligen & Eredivise Add-on and Version 4 so im thinking to copy all the faces (Faxi Kondi Ligen & Eredivise Add on) and paste it on Version 4 folder. Will it works? instead of uninstall and reinstall the game.

Hi Michael, i had same issue as your so after reading all the comment and you basically uninstall the fm23 and reinstall and its works for you. Is that correct? i want to see how i can solve it without uninstall the game.

Hi -thanks for everything you've done. Really appreciate the work that has gone into this. I think, unfortunately, I might just be unlucky and in the minority it doesn't work for. I've got cache unchecked and have reloaded the skin. For me, I seem to have an odd split of some of the faces being right and some being wrong. I've got the V4 folder in graphics and haven't done anything to the config file. However the IDs of some of the players in game don't match the pictures. I wonder if my game has generated players with different IDs somehow? I've re-installed the game too. Are there any other tips to try? I do have the kits/logos too, which contain config files too. But removing these entirely doesn't solve the problem.

I just want to report back and say thank you so much! I followed everything you said and it’s working perfectly. I also want to say if anyone else reads this Jomo is a really cool guy and very helpful and loves fm just as much as us so be nice and thankful. 🤲🏼

Correct. There is a config in the add on and you have to overwrite the config of the V4 🙂

Yes I just copied the folder and put it in the graphics. I didn’t know I was doing it wrong thanks so much my g. I’ll copy all the pics for the add on and put it in the v4 folder. The config data should be in the add on folder as well right?

So did you copy the addon folder in your graphics folder? That would be wrong. Just copy all pictures and the config data of the add on download and paste them where all pictures of V4 are in your graphics folder. Then reload the skin and it should work

Ok so when I uninstalled the game and installed it again I made sure I moved my skins and tactics and games and all the graphics out deleted the sport interactive folder. When I reinstalled the game and loaded up the folders came back and all I had to do was add everything back like Michael said. But I had to create a graphic folder myself. Once I created the graphic folder the first thing I put in it was the v4. When I added the v4 and reloaded it worked perfectly. But when I opened the graphic folder and check the v4 there wasn’t no config there wit it. So my question is, is the config in the add on folder itself and I just have to find it?

Did you also copy the new config in the addon to your graphics folder? How many pictures are in your graphics folder now? 🙂

So I’ve followed every step here in this message exactly how you said and I can reveal that now the v4 is working on my laptop but now when I load in the add on of the faxe kondi ligae and eredivise when I reload skin the v4 faces stop showing. So I’ll just use the v4 and not the add on but in the next update can you make a file where they are all together pls.

I moved all my graphics, saved games and tactics ect you want to keep from the folder Documents>Sports Interactive>Football Manager 2023 and moved to a different drive/folder and then uninstalled the game and deleted the folder above and then reinstalled FM. After its reinstalled, just start up the game to get the FM23 folder to be recreated and move things back you want like your skin, tactics ect. Just make sure only to have this face pack in the FM23 folder and not any others and don't install the licences fix if you use it. If you start a game with the current database, you can just switch all the retro graphics out with the new ones. Hope this make sense and fee free to ask any questions

I'm having same kind of problems I had the original free version of this facepack and it was fine and now got the version 4 and noticed arsene wengers face is wrong and I checked the files for Klose's face it was there but ingame he still had the default black avtar. So I guess this is a question for Michael if you see this did you just remove the Facepack from the graphics file and then put it there again or did you unistall FM23 as a whole. Also noticed that Ronaldinhos face is wrong. If anyone has this problem fixed it by deleting the version 4 from the graphics folder and downloaded it again from here and simply put it in the graphics folder

No problem, I tried on my Laptop and works fine, I'm going to uninstall and reinstall on my desktop and see if that works
