TFL ~ 6, 6.5 ~ A personal reflection

I’ve always been a fan of the horror and science fiction genre.
This story had a clear purpose from the moment I created it: to explore how humanity would bring about its own destruction, dragging the world into an apocalypse where demons take control, just as the prophecies foretold.

The player can choose their own name because they are not Gustav. However, there are still some issues between Episodes 4 and 6 regarding the name, which might confuse players.
I had plans on how to handle this, but back then I didn’t know how to properly code the best way to change responses and names within the game. Fortunately, I’ve practiced and learned how to do it now.

Regarding the scenes where the world goes through its worst stages across time, I want to make something clear: I don’t want this to seem like a criticism of any particular country.
Right now, my own country is going through one of the worst periods of violence and fear for its population.

Over time, I’ll add more images I’ve created of different historical moments, the witch hunts, the Roman coliseums, sacrifices in the West(I mean LatinoAmerica), a reference to the man with the mustache, and a vision of the future with flying weapons.
Yup, maybe this sounds explosive but I will see how it works first.

Episode 6.5
This episode takes place in the present day, inside an agency during the middle of World War III, where demons have been unleashed. Of course, it all depends on the ending the player chooses.

Personal Reflection:
This game turned out to be something different from what most people might have expected, but I believe games should build new paths and experiment with unusual ideas.
We’re living in a world where consumerism has reshaped an entire generation.
Where companies are no longer distant entities but have found new ways to interact with their consumers.

While past generations seemed full of hope, building a future that looked bright and promising, today feels much more uncertain.

I don’t think we can live in a bubble where nothing bad happens, that’s why I’m telling this story. Because I want reality to matter enough that we are careful about what we support or give our approval to.

This game has a very personal intention: to reflect on the world and on nature itself.
The beast-men are a representation of injustice and racism among people, how we divide ourselves and fight one another, while the powerful always win.

A more personal note here:
I’m not a fan of dating sims; in fact, I’ve never played one. From my personal perspective, I believe these types of games can promote isolation and a lack of interest in meeting people in real life.
It saddens me to see more and more people struggling to express themselves or socialize at conventions, and over time I’ve realized that many of these experiences are not healthy. It frustrates me that entertainment companies don’t seek solutions or encourage reflection; instead, their goal seems to be keeping users consuming, making them believe they are filling a void in their lives.

If someone wants to use the game for personal satisfaction, that’s fine, that’s part of its purpose, but it shouldn’t be everything. I don’t want technology to become the only source of emotional support.
My wish is for this game to communicate more than just a fantasy romance:
I want it to tell a story, inspire reflection, and of course, be entertaining.

The intention with this author’s note is simply to share everything that has been on my mind since I started building this game. Don’t worry, the story of the Beast Kingdom, beyond what I’ve shared so far, will continue moving forward with the goal of getting to know the characters more deeply and completing the story.
