A long winded chat with myself on how I choreograph/ come up with choreographies.

And various other somewhat unrelated tangents that during my time rambling to the camera seems somewhat relevant.

I am sorry lol. I am long winded.

As a side note if you would like to see the dressage videos I referenced you can find them here:

Blue Hors Matine at the 2006 WEG (2nd place)

I know its seems weird but I had seen these before I had started dancing as horses were my main focus pre-dance and something about these performances and the results impacted me. Also, if it seemed like I was getting misty eyed and emotional talking about it, it is not your imagination, I indeed was. To be direct when I filmed this my ovaries were renovating their living quarters and as such I was notably vulnerable to my emotions. Talking about the videos reminded me that Blue Hors Matine had passed away tragically in 2010 after an accident in her own home pasture at just 13 years old and it made me immensely sad. She was a horse that I think touched the world and suffered an early, tragic end.

Anyway thanks for coming along on that ride, bad pun intended.

If there was any point to all of that it's that we can pull inspiration from anywhere in our lives for our dancing or any art that we work on. Art is a reflection of ourselves and our experiences. The art we make is unique to us and how anyone perceives are art is unique to them. To me that makes it all very special. Call me overly sentimental but there you have it.

I hope you managed to gain something useful from this.

Thank you so much for listening and for choosing to learn and dance with me. ❤
