I absolutely agree on Westworld…but I need to say this: Season 3 is the most underrated and overmaligned piece of sci-fi ever. I truly believe that the Rehoboam storyline with Aaron Paul’s character is the most terrifying, and more importantly, the most realistic depiction of an AI future that we are VERY close to. The problem is that people wanted their cowboy robots and Maeve was given busywork and all that, so that people ignored the Nolans actually predicting what AI will do to us: We will be generalized down to what we are limited to, and never given chances to do more, forced into a digitally created class system, while just “optimizing” results for big money. (Okay, I’m done with that). Seriously though, I love it for that story. Sydney Cole Alexander, the actress for Natalie (the board’s mouthpiece) is an absolutely incredible choice for the emotion she can portray wordlessly. She will impress the further the show goes on. I want you to figure out who is Severed and who isn’t, so I can point out a very, very key way the script treats each group! Finally, you probably already know this, but I’m glad you didn’t watch episode 4 before you had to take a couple of weeks off….to have to wait after THAT episode’s ending? Oof…. Though let’s face it, the final third of the season just makes you want to watch it all back-to-back-to-back because it is that good and has that much momentum!
