I'm on vacation

Hey everyone, sorry I am late on this information, but I am on a one week vacation and will be back home Sunday. I had an insane week of trying to get stuff done for my full time job, and getting the family ready for a long road trip on Father's Day. I packed my personal laptop and my work laptop (no way I am doing this work on my work laptop) thinking I could at least work on the website and some other non rendering things.

So I open it up, it blue screens, and I realize it has windows 7 and I had this thing since 2009, with a whopping 4 GB of RAM, so, that's not happening. I thought it wasn't that old. So I may stop at a best buy and get a modern laptop. I have a tendency to use things till they fall apart.

Okay, so on to the game. I still need to give the senior directors their "300" special render, so that will be the first thing I do during my return. I took a break from the Joe and MC scenes (all I have left to do is post animation scenes and to reverse the animation) and focused on the Soumya scene to get some energy back and yeah, it worked, so that scene is shaping up. The animation is my favorite and I feel the lighting is spot on. The Chrissy scene animation needs some fixes because of her troublesome but beautiful hair. I don't know how many times her hair clipping or acting weird has challenged me, but it's worth it (next game will only have bald characters, haha).

It's getting big again so I think I am going to do another release, so a v0.1.6 instead of v0.2. I want 0.2 to end with the first week, so including Saturday and Sunday after the work party, where there is some potential drama and possibility to do some activities with your recently conquered LI. Just remember, these branches will have some long term consequences. I also really like the idea of getting the characters out of the office a bit. The game really changed for me even with the addition of the subway, which I made wayy before I intended to. It really opened things up and made things less static, and because of our patrons generosity, I can splurge on some environments.

The beach has given me some real inspiration if you know what I mean, and so I got to thinking about a beach house excursion of the whole team for a weekend. Now, this is not at all realistic and HR would shut something down like that faster than you can say "lawsuit", but that's the beauty of fiction.

Honestly, I am so excited to get started on week 2 in the game, as I will be introducing the development of this first topical cream and it's effects. I'm concerned about how transformation could impact the number of renders needed (for example, Xhiang as is versus a more stacked version of Xhiang, and that it would double the renders of any scenes with her), so I need to do some thinking about permanent versus temporary transformations. With the new GPU, it is a question that can be asked, where in the past, no way.

I also have a scene that I want to introduce based on some real life experience. Nothing HR would have had issues with, just my own preferences. When the scene is out, I want to see who can guess was the somewhat real life scenario.

Let's see, characters. For week 2 I don't have any plans to introduce any new characters. I feel like we have a full cast right now, with enough to generate drama, although I may sneak one shorter character in (doing the measurements for the ID cards has really revealed to me the similarity in height). Obviously Divya and Soumya won the week 2 focus, with the lady on the subway train winning third place so I may add some more of her on your commute. There is a story arc idea I have for her. Also, you will probably see more of Kelly because, well, she was my first.

In summary, love the direction everything is going in. Soumya playing the nepo baby has really injected some real drama into the story and has given me a story arc beyond what I initially intended, which is great. I have some major story points that I want to drive to in the game (like the development of the different products they will sell), but the interactions of the characters I hope will bridge everything together. So get ready, because Divya and Soumya at the end of week 2 are either going to be further or closer together than ever (and no, not in bed, because that would break Patreon ToS).
