Surprise!! Odyssey of Gianna 3.0 Hard Mode CLOSED BETA!

Hello, everyone!! I have a pleasant surprise for you all - A Closed Beta for Odyssey of Gianna's version 3.0 Hard Mode is available on Itch.io right now!!
To be precise, I've added the 3.0 Hard Mode Beta as an additional download on Itch (https://vhiel.itch.io/odyssey-of-gianna) for people who already own the game - the base, non-Beta version of the game is still available for download. If you don't own the game yet, you won't have access to the 3.0 Beta. And unfortunately, since DLSite doesn't allow for multiple files to be uploaded for a single product, I'm unable to distribute it there.
**Do NOT try to transfer saves from earlier versions into this Beta!!**
Hard Mode adds a lot of tweaks and changes to make the Gianna experience more challenging, including:
- Curative items now take up a character's turn to use in battle
- Curative items are more expensive
- Party members only get re-ordered outside of battle, meaning that Petrified / Collared / etc. girls are more of a concern
- Boss HP has been greatly increased
- Characters take more damage and gain more Lust
- Some easy money/item exploits have been altered (no more walking back and forth between areas for Server money, I'm afraid...)
But that's not all! When you start a new file, you might notice something in the throne room...

Interact with this spot and you'll be greeted by a familiar face to those who've played through the game before. And what's she offering...?

That's right - Randomization options have been added in 3.0!!
To explain further:
- Random Treasure Mode replaces every treasure chest and NPC interaction that would give you a non-unique item(s) and replaces it with something completely different! This is not an item shuffler; the items you receive are not balanced or given out at the same ratio as the base game.
- Random Keys Mode shuffles the locations of all unique items (both key items and non-key unique items, such as unique weapons or gear), making your route through the game much more chaotic and bizarre! As with most randomizers of this type, a "logic" is used so that you should never be locked out of progression through the game. (Note that the locations of the Jewels and Tomes will not be randomized, though this may be implemented as an option in the future.)
- Mystery Shop Mode replaces the inventory of almost every shop in the game with a single item - the Mystery Box. Mystery Boxes cost 1,000 G and grant you a random item when opened. Good luck! (Note that you can still sell items to Traveller and buy Elixirs from the Draining Witch in Woodrot Forest.)
- Stat Modifier Mode grants each character two passive skills - one that increases a random stat by 25% and another that decreases a random stat by 25%. (Max HP and Max Lust are never changed by these.)
And best of all - these can be mixed and matched as you like, so only turn on the ones you want!
Take note, however, that this can only be done once and only at the start of a new file. If you decline the offer to randomize or leave the throne room without interacting with the NPC, the option will permanently disappear for that file. In the full release of 3.0, this will only be available after achieving a Final End for the game at least once and starting a new file, but for the Beta, it's unlocked by default.
Because this is a Beta, there may be bugs! If you find any, please go to the community Discord (https://discord.gg/B5JwPBa) and report whatever you find to the #hard-mode-beta-bug-reporting channel!
This Beta is largely meant to get community feedback because the balance and fairness of Hard Mode is very important, but the full release of 3.0 will also feature an Easy mode and some new content, including new skills, a reworked boss/area, and new dialogue / scenes in the Seaside Chalet. With luck, we'll also be coming to Steam soon!
