My tablet broke in early October and I was waiting for it from the service center. Waited a very long time... Fortunately, I had several work done in advance that I could upload.
After the initial diagnosis in the Service Center, it became known that the memory chip in my iPad Pro 10.5 was out of order.
I paid for the replacement 300usd. I paid and waited for the item (By the way, they stated that the item was in stock, but in fact they had been waiting for delivery for more than a week) Everything would have been fine if it had all ended. But that was only the beginning.
During the disassembly of the device, the engineer made three cracks on the entire display, which is why there were also broken pixels (You can see it in the video). When I was informed about that shit, I was in shock. The service center insisted that this happened for reasons beyond their control, which is simply ridiculous...
This is my working tool, so I need it as soon as possible. Therefore, I agreed to replace the display.
The Service Center made “concessions” as a sign of loyalty, promised repairs at cost, that is, I paid only for the part, and the engineer’s work was free. This turned out to be very useful, since there was only $ 250 left on my bank account, $ 200 of which I paid for the repair. They received a memory chip and received approval to replace the display module with the original one.
When I received my device,It turned out that my new display was of terrible quality. Viewing angles were like a cheap Chinese counterpart - black faded from the slightest slope, and white went yellow. Perhaps if I were not an artist, I would not be enraged. The fact is that Apple Pencil with this touchscreen did not work properly. A smoothly drawn line became broken, and in a certain part of the screen it was not drawn at all (Look at the vid that I attached). I was insanely upset.
It was something. After weeks of swearing with several operators, I managed to get the display replaced with the one I paid for, the original one. Two more days passed and I received my device.
Total 2 months I could not draw. I gave my last 500 dollars. And I did not manage to earn anything during this time due to the lack of a tool.
