How wonderful is it to see Borscht (formerly Amber) so happy?
For those who donโt know, Borscht, her sister Triple and their mum Judith (formerly Floss) were found living in our back barn. The kittens were not more than 6 weeks old when we found them and mum has barely stopped being a baby herself.
Judith was so incredibly friendly and we found a home for her quickly, with our head of fundraising and development, Meghan, Triple and Borscht took some time.
Triple was curious and we turned her hisses into kisses fairly quickly but Borscht was always terrified and progress was so very slow; we had a home lined up for Triple but didnโt want her to leave, leaving Borscht alone because theyโd always been together; well, we got lucky and found a foster who had lots of experience with feral babies and all the time that was needed to help Borscht and she became a foster fail after the resident cats accepted her.
We love seeing our rescues so happy! We do still have two kittens available for adoption - Stevie and McQueen - theyโre a bonded brother and sister, 11 months old and sweet as can be. Theyโre both white and tabby and weโd love to find them a home - theyโve been waiting nearly a year and they deserve a wonderful family. Can you help?
