A Brief Post about the Changes to this Patreon

The Super Bowl is starting so no one will see this, but what the hell. 

You might have notices (but probably not) that you were not charged for February. That's because I changed the payment schedule from "Monthly" to "Delivered" or whatever they're calling it. Basically, you won't have to pay unless I post new fiction here. 

Or something. 

The reason is that I have a day job now. It's been two weeks, they haven't fired me, and things seem to be going along steadily. I started this Patreon because my landlord raised my rent and I wanted to stay a full time writer. Well, fun fact: they raised my rent again by 36%, but I have a six month contract for a decent job and we're not really hurting. 

But this will slow the number of books I can finish. 

I know what you're thinking: "Slow it even more?" The last thing I published was a novella before Christmas '17, and the last novel was Key/Egg in 2015. But I haven't been idle since then. I have two new books nearly finished (they need copy edits and covers so I can self-publish) and I have another novel that I'm trying to get ship shape for my agent. I've been writing. I just haven't been releasing. 

That will change soon, once I settle into a new schedule that lets me squeeze writing around my day job. But I won't be as productive as I was when I was full time. Sorry. 

As for that new job, I'm not planning to go into it in any real detail. Not because it's super secret or whatever, but there are some parts of my life that I don't share online. It's easier for me. 

Thank you all for the support you've shown me. At some point, I'm going to have new materials for you. At that point, I'll work out new tiers, I guess. Something for novels and something for shorter work. 

Let me throw this out: What would you like to see? A 20P only tier, where you don't have to pay for (or see) work in other settings? Short fiction on a regular basis? I don't want to offer sample chapters as I write them because I revise a lot. A LOT. I'd be giving you guys substandard stuff.
