Welcome to Season Four: Suikoden & Suikoden II
Added 2022-05-16 11:31:00 +0000 UTCHello everyone! If you would like to skip the blathering, I have once again bolded all of the important things I wanted to pass along.
Once again, thanks for your support through another great season. We saw continued growth in the podcast. Part of that had to do with our appearance on Resonant Arc and part of that had to do with Aidan Moher's Wired.com article on videogame book club style podcasts (thanks, Aidan!). But another key portion of that growth comes from word of mouth, which is one more of the most powerful tools to grow a podcast without a pre-existing platform. So, thank you very much for recommending the podcast to friends and to various internet spaces, it means a lot.
If your mind is currently telling you to say, "you're welcome, Chris", then please consider recording it into an audio device and sending it to us to use in the podcast. Just fill out this form and upload a file (or type a message for the FakeNet to read) and we'll shout you at the beginning of a future episode: https://forms.gle/P44yG97LexLBp31s9
The Suikoden series has begun on the early access feed for patrons at the $3 tier or higher. If you're not using the early access feed, you'll still be two weeks behind. The early access feed can be found by going to http://www.patreon.com/retroam/membership. From there, you can copy/paste the RSS feed into your podcast app if it accepts them. As far as I know, most popular pod apps will accept them except for maybe Spotify. This feed is customized to your tier, so any past and future bonus episodes will appear there as well.
We're almost finished with the first Suikoden, so our production is quite ahead of the release schedule. It's looking like it will be 20 or 21 episodes. When we're done, we'll move on to make a few bonus items (character tournament, wifecast for Suikoden 1) and then pick back up with Suikoden II. If you're interested in participating in one of the live recording sessions, hop on Discord by connecting your patreon/discord accounts, say hello, and check the Events schedule. We usually do one per week, but the day varies.
Chris
